Character Biography

Jhalae T’za “JT” Ynuchausti spent her early years on the USS Majestic, alongside her faternal twin sister, Jhene. Her family held the distinction of being among the first formalized Orion families and the first to serve in Starfleet. When Jhalae was an infant, her father Sakkar, who served as Chief of Security on the USS Majestic, tragically lost his life on an away mission. Following Sakkar’s passing, her mother Khalfani became a single parent and continued her work as a medical officer on the Majestic.

Amidst the destruction of the Majestic, Jhalae, her sister Jnene and her mother managed to find safety aboard an escape pod. They eventually settled on OedV, and when Jhalae reached the age of 17, she departed the colony with her sister to pursue an education at Starfleet Academy. The bond with her sister dwindled over time and is now nonexistent as they rarely speak or contact on another. However she adores her mother who remains a vital aspect of Jhalae’s life as they faced challenges and triumphs together.

Initially drawn to the Medical Academy, following in her mother’s footsteps, Jhalae redirected her focus and transferred to the Engineering department, finding the work to be more challenging and fulfilling. She successfully completed her time at the academy, earning a degree in Cybernetics.

In terms of personal history, Jhalae experienced a divorce early in her life and does not have any children. During her first year at the Academy, she married a Bajoran man; however, their marriage lasted for three and a half years before they mutually decided to part ways as they pursued separate ship assignments. Jhalae possesses fluency in Tamarian and Ferengi languages.

Regarding her appearance, Jhalae is attractive and bears the signature Orion green skin, accompanied by dark, jet black curly hair, and reddish-brown eyes.

In terms of medical history, Jhalae is a full-blooded Orion. Upon entry into the Academy, testing revealed that her mother did not possess the typical pheromone-producing genes or glands found in most female Orions. This unique trait extends to Jhalae as well. It is believed that a distant female relative in her lineage underwent a genetic enhancement that rendered the pheromone-producing glands inactive. This enhancement has since been passed down through the generations of female descendants in her gene pool.
