Character Biography

Jhene Xi’Omara Ynuchausti was born and grew up on the USS Majestic.
After her father was identified as a potential traitor within the Orion Syndicate, he faced espionage and treason charges, and as a result he gathered his family, fled the planet and ended up on a Starbase that was a few lightyears away. When the USS Majestic stopped at the Starbase, Jhene’s father managed to get an audience with the Captain and asked the him for asylum, for him and his family as well as safe passage to the Sol System in exchange for information on the Orion Syndicate. He also convinced the Captain that if he did not provide it, the Orion Syndicate would track him down and his wife as well as his 5 year old daughter, even at her age, would most likely end up as slaves, be trafficked, and severely mistreated because of his past crimes against the organization. With all this information the Captain granted them asylum and safe passage on his ship.
After becoming accustomed to life on the starship during the journey, Jhene’s father, Sakkar, decided to join Starfleet. He completed security and intelligence training at Starfleet Academy in San Francisco and was reassigned to the USS Majestic by request of the Captain. Three years into service during an away mission, he was assassinated by the Orion Syndicate because of his knowledge of its interworkings. Jhene was 8 years old when her father died.
After Sakkar’s death, Jhene, her mother, Khalfani and her faternal twin Jhalae went to live on OED V after the Majestic was destroyed.

When she was 17 Jhene along with her sister, Jhalae, left their mother and entered the Starfleet Academy. Jhene did this partly because she knew her father’s past could come back haunt her and she needed the backing of an organization like Starfleet to keep her from being enslaved by the Orion Syndicate.

Education:
Jhene has an eidetic memory which means she can easily learn new languages and customs. She is also ambidextrous which means she does not have a dominant hand and has the ability to efficiently use both hands equally. Her abilities facilitated her training in communications and exo-linguistics allowing her to graduate in three years instead of four. She also is skilled in negotiations, writing political edicts in may languages and acting as a universal translator for multiple species simultaneously.

Languages:
Besides Federation Standard, she is fluent in High/Low Orion, Tamarian, Risian, Klingon, Ferengi as well as 38 other languages.

History:
Jhene has never been married but she is a chronic flirter, frequent dater, and has not been known to stay in any relationship very long.

Appearance:
She has the trademark Orion green skin, dark curly black hair, and reddish-brown eyes.

Medical History:
Jhene is a full-blooded Orion. Upon entry into the Academy, testing showed she did not possess the typical pheromones-producing genes or glands that most female Orions possess. After consulting with her mother about the anomaly, Jhene learned that her mother was also missing this gland and therefore was considered a freak by most of the Orions on Botchok. It is not known why they are missing this gland, but its absence allowed Jhene to be accepted into Starfleet Acamedy without any issues.

Service:
Stationed at Starbase 11 after graduating from Starfleet Academy. Functioned as a shuttle pilot and communications officer, specializing as a translator and negotiator for treaty hearings.
