Serena Stone is a tall striking wavy-haired redhead with large hazel blue eyes with a slightly rosy complexion. Full lips, a pert nose, and an elegant jawline give her a classic look. Standing at 5’ 10” (1.77 meters) she weighs 180 lbs (81.64 kg), with a mesomorphic body type. As someone who engages in frequent vigorous exercise, she is athletic and built much like a kickboxer.

Age 0-9
Born and raised in a prosperous upper-middle-class city/town on a colony world. Firmly in the temperate belt in hill country covered in lush forests all around. Serena spent much of her time outdoors, exploring the wilderness, and learning various survival skills from her father and mother. Her father was a Starfleet officer and engineer and her mother was a scientist and musician.

The family, mostly controlled by the elders, is well to do, with their own property as well as another property or two, with their income being well above what they generally needed. Generally, the family was always hard-working and dedicated to strong moral and family values. The overall family has a history of service in Starfleet and to the Federation. Living on the frontier and also serving in Starfleet sees most members of the family are combat veterans. Even from a young age, most members are trained for combat and weapons use. The Stone family has an outstanding reputation and is known to produce upstanding individuals but has an occasional bad apple.

While the colony was fairly established and doing well, the planet was not thoroughly inhabited. It did have its dangers, and as a child, Serena survived those dangers (predator or raiders?) However, afterward, she spent more time indoors studying and reading books and spending time learning with her dad, tinkering and helping him with various projects.

The Dominion War (Age 9-11)

Age 11-20
Serena spent a lot of time in detention at school for “acting out” in class and presenting issues with authority. Continuing to study and feed her mind, Serena discovered a love for literature and became an avid bookworm. She worked with her father quite a lot and developed a strong interest in engineering and learning how things worked. From her mother her love of science and investigating,t testing, and learning continued on, along with learning to play a couple of different instruments, sing, and some dancing. It was also around this time she began to train in martial arts, especially kickboxing and arnis. Her parents thought this would be a good thing and would help instill some discipline. Discipline was never an issue.

Nearing the end of her high school years, the town experienced an ion storm that damaged many homes and generated a number of fires. In the aftermath, she helped rebuild much of the community. Though that terrible time was unexpected, the rebuilding gave her a fresh sense of adventure as well as the satisfaction of building something meaningful and returning people to safety, shelter, and security. She proved to be a capable problem-solver, and able to coordinate between various people quickly and effectively, resolve conflicts and bring people together.

Not long after, a group of slavers dropped out of warp on top of the planet and made their way down in a harrowing night raid. With minimal warning, the Stone family was armed and ready and were able to rapidly organize resistance. When the raiders broke through the colony shields, they were ready and began putting up a hell of a fight. In the end, the raiders were driven off and they didn’t get a single soul to the slavers, though some died in the firefight. The raiders did, however, lose a number of smaller crafts, and no telling how many personnel in the process.After her father returned home on his latest tour, Serena informed both parents she intended to go into Starfleet. Especially after the battle, and while she was nervous, it had shown her something. She believed she had what it took to make it.
