Brooklyn Halsey grew up as a Starfleet brat. Her father is still an operations officer in Starfleet. As Brooklyn grew up, she loved to help her dad when he was on duty. While some little girls liked parks, Brooklyn liked cargo bays. Her favorite thing to do was help at the desk giving items to people who requested them. The more difficult or hard-to-find an item became the more Halsey saw it as a challenge.

As Brooklyn got older, she found something more fun than passing out items. She learned to test them. This was her first experience with quality control and it became her passion.
