Character Biography

Pilaryn “Pilar” Agypt Halcyone was born to a Risian mother and an Argelian father. At the age of five, she was kidnapped from her homeworld of Argelius II by a Ferengi scavenger with the intention of selling her into slavery. However, Pilar managed to escape during a layover on the planet Remus, where she lived on her own, surviving by begging and stealing food for approximately two months. One day, she was discovered by a Romulan Starfleet officer named Lelari while attempting to steal from her. Instead of punishing her, Lelari felt compassion for the young girl and decided to help her. Pilar shared her story with Lelari, explaining how she ended up on Remus and was taken from her parents. Lelari reached out to Starfleet for assistance and tried to locate Pilar’s parents. However, since no missing reports were filed on her behalf, Lelari went through the legal process and adopted Pilar, raising her as her own daughter.

Pilar enrolled in Starfleet Science Academy immediately after graduating from primary school. Her studies at the Academy focused on Xenology, Semantics, and Discourse Analysis. After graduating from the Science Academy, she underwent officer training and joined Starfleet. During her time at the Academy, she met a Vulcan named Savid, who was training as a tactical strategist and weapons expert. They got married while Savid was in his last year at the Academy, and Pilar was in her 3rd year. Shortly after, they had their first child, Spenser. Pilar graduated from the Academy, and a year later, they welcomed their second child, Perseus. As Savid was promoted to an executive officer position on the USS Ambitious, Pilar and the children moved with him, with Pilar working as a yeoman on the same ship. Later, Pilar was called to serve on the USS Genny as a Counselor/Mental Health Consultant. To focus on their duties on separate ships, Pilar and Savid sent their children to live with Savid’s parents on New Vulcan.

Several years later, after a shore leave on Vulcan with her family, Pilar discovered she was pregnant again. She took a leave of absence to receive proper treatment and give birth to their third child, a daughter named T’shyri. Complications arose during the pregnancy, resulting in organ damage for Pilar, which required regenerative therapy. After a three-year absence, she returned to duty on the USS Challenger as a counselor.

Pilar’s maiden name is Halcyone, and her married last name is Tschn’Gaihi. However, due to its difficulty in pronunciation, she prefers to go by her maiden name.

Pilar is fluent in Federation Standard, Rihannsu, Vulcan, Sign Language (UFOP), Ferengi, and High Orion. She is known for being easygoing, a good listener, and an experienced task manager. With her natural diplomatic skills, she effectively communicates and provides useful counsel. She has a fear of the Ferengi due to her time in captivity by them.

Appearance:
Pilar possesses a radiant complexion with light brown skin that complements her mesmerizing greenish-blue eyes. Her long, jet black curly hair cascades gracefully down her back, adding to her unique appearance. Pilar takes pride in maintaining a toned and petite figure, which she achieves through regular workout routines. While she has been fortunate to have never encountered any major illnesses, she faced complications related to a clash of blood types during her pregnancies. Although she successfully delivered two healthy children with the help of RH Immunoglobulin treatment, her third pregnancy proved challenging, leading to organ damage that necessitated regenerative therapy.

Fun Fact:
Pilar and her husband share an intriguing family connection. Pilar, hailing from Risian ancestry, is related to Surra Almikaz, while her husband Savid traces his Vulcan lineage to Surra as well, making them distant cousins through different family lines.
