Character Biography

Andriss Krex was a Denobulan who grew up in a sprawling family farming compound in the country on the planet Denobula. His mother and father are Rexx and Aloris Krex, but they have several co-spouses and he has one older sister, Mitta, and several half- and step-siblings, totalling 16 individuals in his family pod unit.

His own family arrangement looks somewhat complex as well, as polyamorous Denobulan arrangements go, it is significantly interwoven.

Andriss Krex is connected to Duna and Frigit (wives) and Xand and Devi (husbands). He is a polyamorous pansexual.

Andriss grew an interest in botany and animal care and husbandry, and when he joined Starfleet, he explored his interests in the sciences, focusing on xenobotany and taking a special interest in fungid and plantoid lifeforms, before going though command school and taking classes in diplomacy, intelligence, and piloting.

For a time, he served in a diplomatic role on Denobula before working as a junior officer aboard the Brazen-class starship, the USS Audacious. His affability and good nature belie his ability to blend in to different situations.

He was raised to CIO aboard the Audacious, and would have loved to remain aboard the ship, but was called back to Denobula for an year-long assignment as the acting Lt. Ambassador to the Federation of Planets’ advisor. The role was not a good fit for him. Too much politics, so he requested a new posting as soon as it was politically feasible.
