Logan Mills

Character Biography

The Mills family is a notorious smuggler family. They initially gained infamy from working with the Orions and Gorn to smuggle goods and weapons into and out of the region. The family initially owned dozens of ships of varying sizes and race creation, from Ferengi to Federation to Romulan. All were bought second hand and never registered with any government, which caused more issues with the family.

In 2395, Logan’s father, Daniel, as well as most of the rest of the Mills smuggler family, were arrested by Federation authorities, and most all the family’s assets seized. While convictions came down for the rest of the family, Logan, taking the only Antares-class freighter not seized by the Federation, fled to a neutral world inside the Klingon empire.

Deciding to lay low for a while, then 16 year-old Logan, began to make a small name for himself as someone who could acquire anything. Though not participating in the smuggling himself, he knew where and when various freighters would come in, and who was a smuggler or could be bribed into smuggling, so he’d make small purchases of illicit goods for customers.

Things game to a head in late 2398 when a pair of Klingons, who were not smugglers, caught Logan trying to bribe members of their crew. Utilizing his knowledge of their culture, he challenged one to a fight. If he won, he got to leave unharmed, if they won, they got his ship. With a lot at stake, Logan used unhanded tactics and his slimmer build to his advantage to flee the fight–and the planet–but not without a cost. A severe injury to his right shoulder that could very well result in the loss of his arm drew him to a Federation outpost that, he hoped, knew little of his family’s reputation, and where he could hide out and get some medical treatment.
