Background:

An only child to two busy professionals from a well established family on Vega, Cort grew up being self-sufficient, though his maternal grandmother moved in with them when he was 12. Deborah, a weaver, taught him to slow down a little and that life was far more enjoyable if you found things you truly loved to spend your time doing. Ambitious but caring more about the work than titles, Cort has sought positions where he could feel of use. He is highly organized and proactive, sensitive to the needs of those around him. While his education has trained him for increasing leadership, he found early on that he enjoys support roles more so long as he can be in the thick of the action as well. He does not like to be idle.

Highly valuing his health and working in high-stress positions, Cort loves outdoor activity and is an avid triathlete. He has placed reasonably well in races over the years, though does not aspire to serious competition.
