Character Biography

Physical Appearance:
Charles-Louis is a tall, burly Klingon male with long black hair and prominent forehead ridges. He has large light grey eyes with thick brows. His teeth are artificially straightened yet still pointed. A well kept beard frames his lower face, and connects to his upper lip mustache. He wears a standard Star Fleet uniform with no modifications.

Early Years:
Charles-Louis was raised by his adoptive human father Louis-Francis Jones. Louis was a civilian mechanic and electrician. He traveled throughout Federation Space near the Mempa Sector, often taking up temporary residence at various space stations. From the time Charles could hold a tricorder steady, he accompanied his father on most all of his jobs. He eventually was well-known in the area for his ability to repair various electronics and computers systems.

Biological Family:
Louis taught his son what he could about Klingon culture, but left it up to him whether or not he would embrace it. Most of what Charles learned was from meeting other Klingons in his travels. Around his mid-twenties he began to wonder about his biological family. After doing a few maintenance and alcohol related favors for the local Klingon patrols, he was able to get into contact with his cousin Da’neth. She explained to Charles that his father had been a warrior, but was dishonored and subsequently banished. The reason why was ‘never to be spoken of’. The family was aware of Charles, but felt it would be a risk to their own honor to associate with him.

Joining Starfleet:
After nearly 20 years of working with computer systems and small electronics, Charles-Louis began to consider his future. His father was starting to show his age, and he wasn’t getting any younger either. The idea of simply getting older and dying a natural death did not sit right with him. Especially considering the further shame it would bring to his family. So, leveraging his years of experience in the field of electronics and computer science, he applied for the academy. Even if it was in the Federation, at least he could spend his final years as a ‘warrior’ in some sense of the word.
