| Solomon Nathan Kane was born stardate 236209.22. On Earth. He lived a mostly normal childhood. His father died a few months before the entrance exams to Starfleet. Leaving them without an income, so when he turned 18, he enrolled in Starfleet in 238008.27. During his time in the academy he showed high aptitude for tactical planning. During the initial phaser training, Kane scored with a high proficency, almost to that of a marksman. So he trained and took classes to be a tactical officer. Graduated from the Academy in 238405.20 After graduation he served on the USS Skaadi. The Skaadi is a Ambassador Class Heavy cruiser that was refitted to hold a marine deployment that served as a deep space tactical response vessel. The Skaadi ended up patrolling around the boundary between the Alpha and Gamma quadrants. They served as a diplomatic escort from time to time, as well as an invasion repulser. During that time there were a few skirmishes that had happened with the Borg. The marines helped to force the borg to leave. But one skirmish proved to great, and claimed the lives of a few of the crew including the chief tactical officer. After that loss Kane was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade for his outstanding service and tactical knowledge, and was placed as the Chief Tactical Officer. He continued to serve the Skaadi moving up the ladder Being promoted once more to Lieutenant. It was a number of years after that he was given the chance and was offered the promotion on the USS Ark Angel. Wanting to do something different, and seeing it as a chance to advance his career, he took it. |
