Character Biography

Sovik is 12.5% Betazoid from his paternal forefather. This was partially in an attempt to create better Vulcan telepaths, although the match was considered agreeable by the couple involved. After the death of his maternal forefather, his maternal family shifted stance towards a more conservative faction. Due to this, Sovik grew up being treated by others as not fully Vulcan, while also being trained on the orders of his foremother to be the “perfect Vulcan”.

After successfully completing the first year of the Vulcan Science Academy, Sovik hinted he might have interest in studying the mystical disciplines, exploring the extent of his psychic powers. It was after all his paternal families wishes. Joining Starfleet was offered as an acceptable alternative. Sovik has little experience with non-Vulcan species and is filled with suppressed nervousness and anticipation about it. There is a small part of him that enjoys the irony that he would probably be seen as completely Vulcan. All these are logically dissected and put away as much as possible. While somewhat defiant, he is Vulcan enough that displaying emotion would be quite shameful.
