Devin Kindle

At under 5 ft in height, Devin’s vivid red hair is what usually catches first glance from folks. Her eyes are dual hued, Right bright Amber left Silver-gray. Her skin tone is pale and she has some freckles. Her smile is often cheeky and playful in it easiness.

Not known to all yet Her feline form is a Red Rag Doll cat with golden right eye and silvery-gray left eye.

Grew up on Family freighter Mystics Luck.
Four premature babies born to Trystan Kindle and his on-off girl-friend, Miranda Mysts, at 26 weeks, the quartet, where born in order of the three boys and their sister as last.

Devin’s three older brothers, are;
Casspian, is twenty minutes older than Devin, Casspian, is a mechanic, engineer, he was born missing two fingers on his left hand but it never stopped him and he did not like having various prostheses fingers attached to his hand. Micha was born 13 minutes before Devin, he turned out pretty normal though everyone says his sense of humor is completely warped. He is a musician, can play any musical instrument, from piano, flute, cello, guitar, saxophone (all of them, from alto, baritone, tenor, and soprano) violin, his prefers his set of Saxophones the best, each is a different hue and he has their names engraved on them. Alexander prefers going by Zander is seven minutes older than Devin, he is a jeweler, he is the one who very very carefully engraved the names on Micha’s saxophone set. He has almost made custom pieces for the family when asked. He was born deaf and has flat refused to have medical intervention (he knows he was lucky in missing all the practicing of Micha when he was learning to play the Saxophones and the rest of his instruments). Devin seems to be normal though she was a LOT smaller than her brothers at birth and never really caught up growing up, they were always a foot or more taller than she was. She topped out at 4‘11” at 18 and never grew any taller. She didn’t let her stature keep her from doing anything. The only that stopped her cold was an incident with her cousins as children where she ended up in a BIG nest of spiders. She was sick for a few weeks afterwards and she has never really liked dealing with anything arachnid like since.

Asked her family to let her join Star Fleet academy after she completed her general schooling at 14.

After they sent their consent form she was off to the academy.

During classes she was more or less a good student. After hours she was often into mischief dealing with bullies in her own way instead of reporting them to the professors. After graduation she had bounced from postings numerous positions; not from poor work, but from her cheeky attitude, and sometimes less than welcome reports written in a random dead or book only languages, though she always included a proper copy with a note to skip to the proper report.

She’s trained in and is an accomplished infiltration specialist, though Security Investigations are her strongest suit. She will happily take on any task as long as it doesn’t go against her code of morals. Her skills in linguistics are ever expanding and she doesn’t always admit to what she knows as part of her knack for light mischief.

A few assignments had her playing as mascot while searching out for the personnel who had been working against the better interests of the ship and Star fleet. While playing mascot she was often called Mars or Nova one friend often called her Blaez his name is Yuri Smirnov, (here is what Yuri looks like https://i.pinimg.com/236x/92/4f/da/924fda412c6c0259d62205dcd60fd53f.jpg) he was in the science division during their academy days, he knows her secret about turning feline he is happy to keep the secret, on their last assignment together he gifted her a relatively new Sakura blossom bonsai tree with the request she take care and keep in touch when she can.

Hobbies
Gymnastics, parkour, swimming, archery and botany specifically to Bonsai trees and some roses. Secret hobby crocheting, she’s horrible at it but she enjoys it even if the finished project usually has gaping holes or more often that not numerous strands of her own hair tangled into the stitches of the completed project.

Quirks
Extreme FEAR of SPIDERS there is a reason for it, but she doesn’t talk about it unless she is given no other choice.

Adores cooking especially pastries.

Unlike Earth Humanoids, Isiseans are able to manipulate their cell structure so that they can take on feline appearance. This process of cellular metamorphosis it taught to the young at an early age as early as two to four months old, while most species are crawling.

Almost all master it before reaching their teens. Isiseans who do not train as children are less likely to develop their abilities later due to physiological changes between children and adults.

It is not clear how Isisean or Omegan came to have this ability as much of their history was lost when the Isiseans splintered off from the Omegans.

It is believed that long ago both races originated from a felidae ancestry and later evolved humanoid features. Socially conjecture has resulted in this being a hot topic with many debating which is their natural form, Cat or Humanoid. However the majority of the population commonly adopt a humanoid form during their daily lives, possibly to better enable interacting with other humanoids.

The ability to change comes at an early age and is not dissimilar to puberty in Humans. Those who do not train as children are less likely to succeed in developing the ability later in life.

Originally Omegan but split off from the main group as they did not agree with the main group’s goals, that being the defeat of Earth and removal of Starfleet and the Federation.

Theses ex-Omegans traveled far and wide dropping off in small groups on various human settlements before a larger group settled in after finding a new home deep in the far reaches of the Beta quadrant. They started calling themselves Isiseans, and left it at that. These people are in general of medium build and are varying in skin tone and color as any regular human. Their eyes are sometimes dual colored (heterochromia iridium) though more often than not they have eyes the same color like most humans. Usually only Isisean with parents having heterochromia iridium will get it as well but it usually skips generations. What makes these folks different from humans is very slight differences, very slightly smaller hearts, larger lung capacity. Telepathic neural pathways in their brains. They are naturally telepathic with each other and can hear thoughts of others with in these restrictions. Either within visual sight of the person whose thoughts they are meant to hear, have a connection of emotional sort from concern to love even hate if the person is considered an enemy. Otherwise they would not hear the thoughts unless there was extreme volume in the thought. Most are bright light sensitive. Their hearing is almost as good as a Vulcans. Their sense of smell is very strong and often leading to allergic responses to various pollens, pollution, and the like.

In general most Isisean are playful curious folks that want to enjoy life, living. Intelligent and often capable of interesting creations but they don’t often keep with their inventions. Some having tired of the rather tame existence, began traveling again some choosing to smuggle aboard star ships after riding in on various freighters to starbases. Being a ship’s cat having adventures with being able to come and go coming and go as they please.

That is what sets the Isiseans apart the most, the ability to go from human to cat and back again. The risks are strong though, any injuries that are gained in one form remain when returning to the other. Lose any eye as a cat, it is lost when returning to human form.

The few Isiseans that have left their homes over the years come back sharing tales and traveling stories. Some do not return having either died in a glorious misadventure or just choosing a new life elsewhere.

Some Isiseans have recently begun negotiations to join the Federation, offering their small size adventurous natures along with a generous amounts of miszinite ore among others that they’d uncovered in previous years and have too little uses for. Currently only three have officially gone through Starfleet Academy, the others that have joined ships five to date have remained as civilian additions (mascots with CO knowledge of who and what they are along with those the CO trusts to know).
