Character Biography

Odina Marshell was adopted by Walter Marshell and his wife Halona Blaedz-Marshell after being abandoned at the hospital after her birth. Her birth mother never gave her name and did not stick around after the birth a dna test provided that her race was of Native American-Cherokee tribe to be specific. She was raised along side their adopted son, Thomas who was five year old at the time of Odina’s birth. She was a very curious growing up. Her talent for taking things apart and putting them back in more or less working order again grew as she did. By the time she was in school she was very interested in all things mechanical and technical. She built robotic animals that reacted to her voice commands in miniature for school projects and at home with her allowance began the process of recreating those in more life-like sizes. Her most prized of these robotic models was a pocket sized dragon that would perch on her shoulders or fly short distance around her head and perch again. She was ever expanding it’s talents, and keeping it in her pocket when in class. When she saw the sign up sheets for classes for Star Fleet and needing engineers to be trained. She jumped into the courses with gusto. Thomas also joined Star Fleet though he had taken to the Security path, they passed each other between classes sometimes but did not often talk. After graduation Thomas was assigned to the Journeyman, Odina got her assignment for the Sojourner. She left most of her models behind but she brought her tools and her pocket dragon companion, she named it, Tionas. Tionas can listen to commands fly across the room pick up a tool and bring it back to Odina or whomever she directs Tionas towards. Tionas can also record audio which is useful when Odina has reports to give she dictates to Tionas and later writes out the detailed report with thanks for Tionas help. Tionas can do other minor tricks besides flying, instead of fire it has a beam of light that falls from between it’s jaws. Odina has other ideas to expand on Tionas possible uses but takes her job as Engineer for the Sojourner very seriously so her plans will wait until her next shore leave to detail out on paper.

Hobbies
Drawing and anything mechanical or technical. She likes to cook and has taken up crocheting for the hours when she can’t sleep and doesn’t want to wake anyone up with her tinkering on upgrading Tionas or something for the ship at 0200.
