Biography:

Drunis was slated for excellence from birth. Born to a high-ranking family of extreme political and economic influence, Drunis was the only scion of the family; and therefore wanted for nothing. The finest schools, the finest tutors and instructors… all were his from the time he was able to walk. As he grew, his parent’s tailored his every waking moment to making him stronger, smarter, faster… better… than all of his peers. They also instilled in him an inflexible and unyielding devotion to the Star Empire.

He spent his formative years at prestigious boarding schools and military academies that honed his mind and body into a living, breathing representation of what it meant to be Romulan. Growing tall and handsome and carrying himself with all the arrogance pride that one could contain, Drunis was the epitome of the ideal Romulan male. Incredibly intelligent, and very calculating.

After graduating from his schooling, Drunis was selected to attend the elite Imperial Military Academy. His parent’s connections ensured he was selected not only to attend; but to have many private classes with mentors and faculty. His academic record was exemplary- he focused on Security and Intelligence courses- and second only to his athletic prowess. He was Captain of six different sports teams, one of which was fencing. He set records for speed and strength in multiple athletic disciplines; and was named as the most accomplished cadet in his class four times… and in the Academy as a whole three times. Upon his graduation, he was selected to attend the Imperial Fleet Academy as well, a rarity for anyone; but especially for one as young as he. There he trained in advanced Security (specifically Internal Security) and Counter-Intelligence. He graduated at the top of his class and was immediately assigned to the IWB Nightwing as a Security officer. Drunis was expected to excel (of course), and all signs pointed to that same measure of success. But that is when he met Commander Hesptek Ves. She took immediate exception to the arrogant and conceited Drunis; and used her dislike to fuel an environment of absolute misery. Drunis didn’t know how to handle this. His entire life had been tailored to make him the best; and on board the Nightwing he was far from that. Ves made his life a living hell, and Drunis tried multiple times to eliminate her. None were successful, but as he tried more often, the means and planning grew in their complexity and Machiavellian-level of cunning. None of the attempts were ever traced back to him, however; and soon he had actually become a solid Fleet officer; despite of- or perhaps because of- the almost toxic working environment he was subjected to.

When he was transferred to the Dragon, he had developed a reputation. Shrewd. Calculating. And not averse to eliminating problems permanently. Despite having been handed an entire life on a silver platter, Drunis was seeing that he lacked experience, and experience could not simply be given… it had to be earned. And so his time on the Dragon was spent actually learning. Studying history, tactics, and various new forms of martial warfare and weaponry. Dealing with issues and learning to read emotions and the like. So proficient was he that he was promoted to Centurion, and his next posting aboard the Damned was as the Chief of Weapons Control.

It was here that the Tal Shiar made themselves known to him. They had watched him for some time… at the request of Commander Hesptek Ves, who was now Admiral Hesptek Ves and who commanded the Tal Shiar vessel Raven. She had seen something in him that made her want to push him. Make him actually become something. He was recruited into the organization and transferred aboard the Raven as their Chief of Security and Counter-Intelligence. His time there made his reputation as it currently stands… one of ruthlessness and deadly efficiency, backed by a keen intellect and unwavering loyalty to the Empire. It was this reputation that garnered him the position of Chief of Weapons Control on the newly built and christened IRW Rovarran.
