General Background
Jóhann was raised on Earth alongside his younger brother Joseph. His father was a bartender and his mother a Federation Marine He grew an interest early on in his father’s endeavors and appeared to follow in his footsteps but his interests grew out of just bartending and after mostly grasping the craft at age 16 he started studying other crafts such as cosmetology, most notably becoming a barber, and more advanced form of mixology.
His mother made sure though that he also studied martial arts and knew how to wield different weapons, something he grew slightly adept at, his favorite studies were boxing and close-quarters knife fights. When he turned 18 he said farewell to his family and left Earth to travel, learning more about his interests.
Physical Description
Johann is tall and thin. He hides a surprisingly toned and strong body behind baggy clothing and wide shirts. He has blond hair that is greying mostly on the sides; he has mostly short hair and is always clean shaven. He has a kind face and doesn’t really look his age but he still has more of a grandfatherly look due to his full-moon spectacles he has on at all times.

Medical description
Johann is almost unnaturally fit for his age. He is fast, nimble and strong for a man his size and age. He has led a very healthy life. There is also evidence of some manipulation in his genes but nothing extreme.

The Conclave
After having been traveling for less than two years Johann landed in some trouble with some unsavory people, he was saved by an elderly gentleman that had taken notice to the young man’s skillset. This old man recruited Johann to a secrete organization referred to as ‘The Conclave’. An ancient order that works in shadows to manipulate the sphere of intergalactic politics. Their base of operations was hidden in a place known colloquially as the Veil.
The leadership of the Conclave is hidden there and only a chosen few can enter their hideout. Any and all operations are divided into four main factions.
Although Johann at first considered them to be a sinister order of madmen he grew to respect their work ethics as they worked in secrete to protect what they referred to as the ‘People’. They had become smaller since the forming of the Federation due to the fact it did what they intended more openly, honestly and gently. They mostly operated outside federation space but still agents where needed in the UFP.
He spent the next 20 years working and training with this organization and his recruiter which Johann affectionately referred to as ‘The Old Man’ or Tom for short. In these twenty years he mastered many skills. He worked as an assassin for them and became infamous throughout the criminal underworld and something of a legend known only through the name Terra’s Razor. The only thing know about Terra’s Razor was that he was human and commonly a straight razor in his killings.
In 2364 his brother left the UFP Marines and Johann recruited him to join the Conclave, which he did after a lot of convincing, and together they became extremely successful. They earned leading positions in the Conclave. Through all this with them was Joseph’s wife Neema who took charge of medical assistance and other related areas during their years together
There are four leaders outside the Veil and after the Karlson brothers took charge the titles were changed to more suit their Terran origin, mostly though because it amuses Johann. Now they were known as the horsemen and Johann predictably took the position of Death, taking charge of all matters concerning assassination and covert operations. His brother became War, in charge of all military matters. Last but not least his sister in law became Victory, in charge of all scientific and medical ventures. The last position Famine was held by The Old Man and had been for an untold number of years.
More recently Johann has drawn back from public work and taken a more behind the scenes work attitude, running things from a Starfleet vessel where he looked after his godson Jack Grey.

The Dominion War
During the war he and the conclave worked in secrecy to restore the balance of power to the Alpha quadrant, doing their best to manipulate things to favor the Federation and its allies. He generally stayed out of direct conflict but was involved in the liberation of Betazed with his brother.
In the aftermath of the war he started working directly with Starfeet, alongside his brother, to hunt down rouge elements, war criminals, fugitives and other related people. Him and his brother did this for a number of years until their supposed retirement.
Recent Years
When his sisters oldest son, Johann’s Godson, graduated the academy and started serving on the USS Aztec Johann decided to join the ship to keep an eye him. He served as the main bartender there for some time until he considered the boy to be alright on his own, then he packed his bags and left to travel again for a while.
He recently opened a Bar/Pub/Restaurant on Oed V at the behest of his younger brother who served as the planets Head of Police for a time. The bars name is ‘The Pale Horse’

Skillset
Throughout his many years of traveling he picked up more than a few skills. This is a general overview.
Master Assassin – Johann has many skills that fit the duties of a master assassin. He has mastered several martial arts, multiple firearms and most notably knife fighting.
Master Craftsman – He also studied his other crafts throughout these years. He can mix practically any drink known to man. He’s a brilliant chef, dancer and also an adept smith.
Genetically enhanced – during his years with the conclave he was subject to several genetic modifications to enhance his stamina, strength, endurance, intelligence and lengthen his life span. This is a major attribute to his extreme success as an assassin but these modifications were only added after he started working with his brother.
