Character Biography

Nathan Murray was born in New York City, United Earth, in November of 2351. He enrolled at Starfleet Academy as a Security and Tactical officer, and from that point on, was one of Starfleet’s problem children. He probably would have been drummed out of the Fleet within a decade if the Dominion War hadn’t erupted right as he graduated. Due to the war, though, his career soared. Soon Lt. JG, then full Lt. Murray was assigned as the COS and CTO of several ships near the front line, his hot-headed nature well-suited to the chaos of war. He was on track to take the XO spot of a smaller ship when the war came to an end, and soon thereafter, his career.
He had an altercation with his captain - what about, neither remembered - that came to blows. Nathan was knocked back down to Lt. JG with a transfer to an out-of-the-way outpost, and resigned his commission within the week. He has since worked to control his brash and aggressive tendencies, though many of them remain.

Psych Profile (TBF): Nathan is stubborn, aggressive, and short-tempered, but has a genuine moral center and in fact tends to become angriest when this code is broken. With some time and counseling, it would be possible for him to return to Starfleet.
