Character Biography

Jasper Edwards is an Earth born human scientist with a PhD in Chemistry and a through understanding of Biology.

Jasper was born on Earth to a father from London and a mother from San Francisco. Whilst living between both San Francisco and London in his early years, the relationship between his parents didn’t last long and so Jasper grew up raised by his father in London. Focusing much of his time into study, Jasper found a keen interests in the sciences and whilst the science of matter, involving the study of matter, its fundamental constituents, its motion and behavior through space and time, and the related entities of energy and force didn’t captivate him, he found himself enthralled in scientific study of the properties and behavior of matter.

Jasper studied the properties and behavior of matter to a high level, earning a doctorate (PhD) in Chemistry. Whilst jobs in Chemistry became open to him, Jasper chose to remain in education and begin to study the branch of science that deals with living organisms and their vital processes, commonly known as Biology. He continued to study Biology for a few years until a job opportunity became available, combining both his love of Chemistry and Biology. Jasper left education and spent time working in a scientific lab in San Francisco.

Eventually, Jasper regained connection with his mother who revealed that her absence was caused by her work with Star Fleet. His mother, amazed at the levels of knowledge possessed by her child pushed Jasper to make an application to Star Fleet Academy. He refused at first, preferring his work on Earth however his mother continued to push and even took him on a mission with her to show him what Star Fleet could offer. Eventually, the scientist submitted his application and was amazed at his acceptance to Star Fleet.

Working his way through Star Fleet Academy, Jasper graduated and was posted aboard an unnamed station to conduct scientific research. Whilst assigned to this station, his parents began talking again and eventually found themselves getting back together. Through graft and work, he was eventually promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade and assigned to his first proper star vessel, the USS Chimera and was named as the vessel’s Chief of Science.

On his first ever day, a message from both of his parents informed him of just how proud they were and he knew that he had made the correct choices in his life.
