Physical

Eldorin is of average height, if not a little short with well tanned skin from spending time under many different suns.  His hair is auburn and kept cut short and respectable with brilliant green eyes many would think are fake. He came to earth extremely fit and toned, but in the decades since has lost some of that Adonis level physique and now presents as a fit and healthy man but isn’t overly muscular.

Personality

Eldorin has a go-getter attitude but is also the kind to greet you with a smile on his face and a plan to ruin you already brewing should you cross him. He wants to do right and follows a strict code of ethics. Problem is it’s not necessarily everyone’s ethics that he follows. Having learned throughout his time as a mercenary that his duplicity was only a detriment to others rather than a benefit, he has made strides in taking people at their word. Eldorin has tried to follow the footsteps of his wife Rende to become a ‘listener’ such as their people are described, but he finds that his empathy suits him well for conversation and not much else. He can tell what someone’s feeling if he concentrates but it doesn’t come naturally.

Before Academy

Eldorin was born on the South Continent of El-Auria and left to his own at the age of 70, still an infant by El-Aurian standards. He was raised by the school of hard knocks and especially given the racial and geopolitical mess caused by the Southern Continental Coalition or the SCC. He always viewed the more rich and powerful northerners with mistrust and disdain. He built up his mechanical knowledge from necessity. From figuring out how to pick locks as a boy led to hotwiring transportation, which led to stripping down stolen goods for parts. Once he reached maturity he tried to live a better life and he soon thereafter met his to be wife Rende. Eldorin tried his best to stay above his origins, however the rally would change everything.

During Academy

Upon returning to Earth he entered the service of Star Fleet and joined the engineering division..

Service History:

Eldorin and his wife were mercenaries who met at a rally in support of Southern Continent Separatists.  Having spent many years traveling and living among other cultures, primitive ones by El-Aurian standards, it was often the case that they just were not in a position to overcome those that were unjust.  They decided to provide their services, with Rende the no nonsense ‘just get it done’ fighter and Eldorin the backup and the one who built the weapons and bombs used.  Being El-Aurian. they felt they had experienced more and a wider range of events and as such thought that their stellar track record proved that they were experts.  Eldorin and his wife were arrogant and felt they were able to decide which side should prevail even if they didn’t know the histories of the people, so they took it upon themselves to pick a side and help.  It was not malicious, they helped with medicine, fighting, agriculture, all aspects of society, but it was still arrogance.  In the late 1960’s by Earth’s calculations, their arrogance finally caught up with them.  They sided with the SCC during a time of terror and strife for the El-Aurian people as the SCC fought for independence and self governance. However much they tried, the unified El-Auria was always to be and they were persecuted for their interference and deemed pariahs of their culture and banished.  They left El-Auria and settled on a planet called Earth, in Ireland, County Leitrim, becoming staunch supporters during ‘The Troubles’ in the 1970s.  Eldorin became a ship builder, trying to use the lessons learned during his time as a mercenary to help people and work to be productive rather than foment strife.  Two years later their son, Tabris was born, and they stayed on Earth, hidden, in exile until after WWIII. They lost track of their son as they separated ways.  Eventually in 2149 they returned to Earth, having found a home there and wanting to resettle.  This time Eldorin and his wife joined Star Fleet and put their skills to the purpose of exploration and following orders rather than giving them.
