Vivian Skogheim

Character Biography

Appearance: Vivian is a 6’ 1” tall, broad-shouldered and muscular woman. Has tan skin with dark brown eyes and short, jet black hair. She has several scars on her body, with a prominent scar down her left cheek that she refuses to have healed.

Family and History: Vivian Skogheim was born January 21st 2353 and grew up on Earth with her mother T’bel (Vulcan) and her father Neil Skogheim (Human). Her mixed heritage and strict upbringing resulted in her accelerating in academics and developing disciple and self control beyond her years.

Vivian graduated from the academy with honors, specializing in security. She has been noted as having good leadership skills, especially when it comes to small group coordination and tactics. She is also a very strong marksman and capable in hand to hand combat. She trained in various martial arts of Vulcan, Klingon, and Human origin.

As an Ensign she was active during the Dominion war, and won several accolades. Several as a result of being injured while in the line of duty.

After her promotion to Lieutenant she was reassigned to Starfleet Intelligence. Vivian most worked internally within Starfleet, improving security and safety protocols, as well as helping to develop and implement training programs.

She was made aware of the ARU when they requested her for a new assignment. Apparently, one vessel in their fleet was in need of a ‘stronger hand’ to guide her. She accepted the assignment promptly.

Personality:
Vivian is very strict and serious. She knows protocol. In some cases, she wrote the protocol. Discipline and respect are foundational to her Command style. There is very little room for error, and the potential for error must be minimized.

True to her half-Vulcan nature, she is logical and often unexpressive. She will always do what is best for the crew, even if it at the expense of an individual or two. The emotions of herself or others have little effect on her decision making.

Vivian is honest and direct, and with little care for other people’s emotions. This can come across as cold, but she is also careful to never cross over into untactful.
