Sol’lin

Character Biography

Appearance:

Sol’lin is 5”6’ with a lanky build. He has curly brown hair, darker skin with peachy undertones, and his eyes are dark grey.

History:

Sol’lin was the only child of Sokel and Berin. His parents were both Starfleet engineers and he was raised on starships and space stations for most of his childhood. He enjoyed playing with other children of different species, and his parents encouraged it. While they still raised him Vulcan and to follow the Teachings of Sarek, they also encouraged him to be tolerant of other species way of processing emotions.

Starfleet Academy was not so much a choice for him as the next logical step in his life’s path. He chose to focus on operations, specifically communications. Shorty after graduation he was assigned to the Memorial for his first tour of duty.

Personality:

As one would expect from a Vulcan, Sol’lin tends to be calm and logical in most circumstances. However, he is also known for his interpersonal skills. He is patient with others. Listening, for him, is an active process. It’s an opportunity to gain information. Much more than simply waiting for your turn to talk. He is also not one to be openly critical or be the first to say something negative, even if he is thinking it. He usually only reserves doing so for when such observations are actually helpful.
