Character Biography

He is an expert, and has completed advanced studies in, the field of ‘otorhinolaryngology’, which when translated into English means study of the Ears, Nose and Throat. He has completed a thesis in the topic in which he has compared the ears, noses and throats of living and deceased members of multiple species and has developed a scale he calls the “Rhinological Number Sequence” in which he rates each species on the size, tenderness and capacity to blow of their noses. He can literally talk for hours on the topic, and doesn’t particularly care if people are bored of the topic. In fact he once emptied a lecture theater at Star Fleet Academy when he began an impromptu lecture on the importance of nasal care and asked for volunteers for his study.

As a side line, he also has a great deal of understanding of astrophysics, but considers otorhinolaryngology to be much more important and interesting, an opinion not shared by any others, and so he was forced to branch out.
