Tera is the eldest of four children. Two sisters, Emma and Robin, and younger brother Edgar. Her family originally hails from North America but she did most of her studies on Betazed. Her strengths include team building, conflict resolution, and crisis counseling. Though her long term relationships have been few, she has secretly thought of herself as the marrying kind.
Though known to change her appearance on a whim, Tera has strawberry blonde shoulder length hair and green eyes. Not being one to express herself stylistically, she can usually be found, in uniform, or clothing fit to climb rocks in. This was a hobby taught to her by her geologist parents, Paul and Dana Casey. Her other hobbies include gardening for small spaces and attempting to paint(mostly landscapes).

When the bulk of the Aztec crew transferred tot eh Memorial Tera was offered several positions including one that would have taken her close to family. She elected to stay on the Memorial, however, to help integrate the crew and continue her observations of people in their natural state.
