Briony of Krios

Character Biography

Physical Description: Briony is typical in physical appearance for a Kriosian woman. She has dark brown hair, dark brown eyes and brown spots along the hairline and down her back in a V shape to her mid spine.

Family History: When Briony was young, her mother joined up with Rebels on Krios who wished to fight against the rule of the Klingons. While she was fighting, her ship became damaged and was set on a course out of the asteroid belt and into the void of space. With only a little life support left, the ship was found by a trade freighter. Plying her skills as a doctor, Briony’s mother Ilyn of Krios secured passage to the nearest Federation owned starbase. As a child, Briony was her mothers companion, travelling throughout space doing odd jobs. She eventually learned quite a bit of self defense and strategy under the tutelage of Ribold,
a smuggler who employed her mother for a few years as the shipboard medic. He liked the spitfire nature she displayed and thought it fun to teach her.

At the age of 17, her mother took a job on Earth. She refused to leave again, not wanting her daughter to become a smuggler or something else equally lascivious. It may not have been her choice to join Star Fleet, but Briony found the worth of the decision and eventually dedicated herself to that path. She excelled as a Security officer, eventually turning to Command.

On books:”I have a copy of The Art of War by Sun Tzu. There is no way I could get my hands on the original as it has long ago turned to dust, but its quite old and translated off of the original 1772 french translation. I also have Seven Military Classics which also includes the Art of War with annotations by CaoCao which gives it a little more robust feel. They are both bound in leather. I really should get my hands on those force fields though. I do not have them.”

Medical History: Briony has had many cuts bruises and scrapes but only a few broken bones, mended correctly and showing no signs of damage. This is to be expected of a security officer.

Ready Room Decor: Amid a Star Fleet regulation designed Ready Room with subtle touches that were her own. There was a couch of a grey persuasion, but behind it was a long thin table with several sculptures and what seemed to be a set of xylophone-esque bells made of a bamboo like material. Next to the bells was a picture of an obviously happy mother and daughter, smiling for the camera and hugging each other tightly. The daughter, now the Captain of the Atlantis, was about 20 at the time the photo was taken and she seemed to be in the Academy graduation robes. The women looked a great deal alike, though the mother had some grey in her hair and looked a little kinder than Briony by nature. There were small tapestries on the empty sections of wall, both colorful and definitely Kriosian in nature. There were too, a set of shelves with delicate figurines. Each was a man and a woman set in some kind of dance embrace. Each was different and obviously very carefully created.
Her desk was clear of clutter though and the stars passed by her in the window behind her desk. It was likely a place where she contemplated a great deal while looking out among the stars they passed
in their travels.

2375 - Early in the year - Transfered off USS Defiant to the USS Nautilus, Promoted to Lt. Jr. Grade
2379 - Promoted to Lieutenant and Chief of Security
2383 - Promoted to Lieutenant Commander - Transferred to Command School
2385 - Promoted to XO of USS Nautilus
2388 - Promoted to Commander CO of USS Atlantis
2393 - Transfered to Starbase Magellan for CO position
