Character Biography

Teller is something of a human prodigy. He isn’t quite a genius and unlike most hyper intelligent people, who have great skills in one or two areas, Teller is just very good across the board. While at the academy he was pursued by many departments, particularly operations and security, but he ultimately settled on science. He was young for star-fleet, graduating from every single program in less time than in normally allotted.
Teller was lost on his cadet cruise with an number of other cadets on a starship thrown ten years away from Federation space. Due to numerous fortuitous events and scientific leaps the ship was able to make the journey in four. During his trip he had been promoted to Lieutenant JG and Chief Science Officer a position and rank that was certified by Star-Fleet.
Teller had been socially isolated due to his quick advancement at every level, but as he reached adulthood this social ineptitude faded. Teller has a great deal of confidence in his hard skills but his talents in the social arena still need some firming up as he believe himself to be superior to most and doesn’t have a problem letting those he thinks are wrong know it… very directly. This doesn’t not generally create a disrespectful situation with his superior officers as he does recognize and respect the chain of command, but for every person that values his ability there is another that finds him intolerably arrogant.
