Character Biography

Appearance:
A short man with a roundish figure and even rounder face, Scott Woods has deep brown eyes and a mop of curly chocolate brown hair that is often unkempt. His nose is small and button-like. He wears a near constant grin, when he isn’t nervously avoiding direct eye contact. As they say, an extroverted engineer stares at your shoes.

Sanguine skin gives him the ability to blush almost at command, but it is easily concealed at times, thanks to the bushy beard that covers his cheeks

His hands are broad palmed with shorter stubby fingers that belie the true dexterity with which he works small and specific puzzles.

History:
Scott W. Woods graduated in the top ten percent of his class from Starfleet Academy in 2360. Shortly thereafter he was stationed aboard Starbase 42, a research station around a large gas planet in the Alpha Quadrant.

After three years of distinguished service, he was reassigned to Startfleet Engineering Corps, Research and Development - Special Projects. He was officially classified as a systems engineer for environment and life support. Much of his work is, or was, classified, but he did receive the Cochrane award and his first promotion for it, whatever it is of course.
It was from this posting that he was reassigned to the Serenity Shipyards and then the USS Owaga to serve as a generalist engineer focusing on life support systems.
