Physical

Outward Appearance: Tabris is a bit more of a chubby man then he’d like, however he never had the discipline to work it off beyond a couple of months. Now that’s not to say he isn’t a fit man who can run and lift, he just doesn’t hone himself to look like an ancient Greek god. He wears a pair of vintage Rayban Wayfarer glasses (specifically the tortoiseshell variety) and prizes them as one of his most important relics (besides Geoff that is). Now that’s not to say on a day to day basis he doesn’t just wear a replicated pair, however his authentic 1989 pair that he received for his 10th birthday comes out for only the most important of events. Now this brings about something that Tabris enjoys, and that is the classic or vintage way of living. While modern medical practices have made glasses all but a relic, Tabris wouldn’t be caught dead without them. He has also been an appreciator of Starfleet the 2270’s era uniform, and has for the past couple assignments made a strong case to his commanding officers to let him wear it day to day.

Personality

Tabris is loyal to a fault and has worked to ensure that he does the best for folks when given the opportunity. He sees his long life as a gift that allows him to use his talents and abilities to help those in need.

Personal Information

Born to Eldorin and Rende Asam, Tabris is an only child who grew up on Earth in the later part of the 20th century. He did not fully know his heritige till later in life and used it as an excuse to move around and explore earth, falling out of contact with his parents before WW3. After that cataclysmic event Tabris chose to go to the stars as he figured his parents were dead and there was no way at that time to get a hold of them with the total destruction of infrastructure. Has he done some shady things? Sure. But those acts do not define who he is today.

Interests:

Tabris has lead a long and interesting life, even though he looks to be no older than middle aged. He has always been a tinkerer and a collector, and for the last 100 years or so ran an antiques dealership on Bajor until the market dried up about 10 years ago. Through his time, he has always been fascinated with the mechanical operations of old-school sublight freighters to modern day warp systems. He even has a few old computers from the height of the 8 bit era, although he’s basically had to replicate everything under the sun to make them work again. While programming in Basic might not be something remotely useful, it was something he learned as a kid back on Earth while his parents were in a self imposed exile. From there, Tabris nurtured the skills for centuries and when it was time to turn another leaf he applied for Starfleet’s Engineering Corps and was accepted, being posted to the USS Ark Angel as his first assignment.

Medical:

Multiple long scars across his face, arms, and chest. Nothing that he won’t talk about, but all somewhat funny stories about stupidity and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. El-Aurians are empathic but Tabris has difficulty recognizing his gift and using it.
