Character Biography

COS of OED. Longstreet grew up on a mining colony. Life was hard but he persevered and was eventually accepted into SF. He was a bit unruly and unconvential but his quick problem solving skills moved him up in the ranks. His postings were mainly to colonies. He worked with SF Intelligence in a special operation against insurgents on Colony Scion in the Rigel 2 system. It became a massacre and his long dislike of intelligence agencies came from there. He lost his wife to be in a swimming accident that the cause was still unclear but it was thought that his drinking problem caused him to fail to rescue her when she called for help in the water. His drinking came from the massacre he was involved in but was covered up by SF Intel. After that he went AWOL but finally resurfaced and his old SF connections rescued his career due to his record of service and they did not want him to speak on the massacre to others. Given his colonial COS experience he was made COS of OED. Far enough away not to worry people much.
However he has shined in his role and rehabbed himself and his career.
