Rujo Kiwa

Character Biography

Rujo Kiwa is the oldest child (and only son) of Tojo Kiwa and Rolo Kiwa. He is also the 2nd oldest grandchild of Vima Kiwa, the matriarch of the Kiwa family, with its traditional lands located just outside of Brisbane, in the former nation of Australia on Earth in the Sol system.

34 years of age, it is some 12 years since Rujo completed his Cadetship on the USS Columbia, received a commission to be the new Chief Engineer on board and a promotion to the rank of Lt JG. His time as Chief Engineer was a mixed bag, he successfully graduated Dagen Thor to replace him as Chief Engineer, however two of the other staff in the department felt they were overlooked for promotion and hatched a plan to poison Rujo Kiwa.

Rujo Kiwa was saved by Dagen Thor and the CMO and he took time off to recover from the poisoning and get reassigned.

Rujo Kiwa was reassigned in time to the USS Dresden in Fleet 3 as Chief Engineer and the crew were sent to the shore leave planet of TOS fame (http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Shore_Leave_(episode)) for the events described here: (https://www.star-fleet.com/gmd/archive/mission.php?id=160). Having learnt what he could from the computer, and having eventually had enough of communication and interaction with nothing other than the Great Computer and the computer generated plants, animals, sentient species and constructed objects, Rujo contacted Starfleet and asked to be reassigned to a Starfleet vessel.

A suitable posting was not available and after several years, he asked to be removed from active service and consideration
