Charley (Clover) Winter

Character Biography

Charley was born on the recently rediscovered Beneath Colony. The Colony ship Good Hope was launched in 2153 but vanished without a trace. It was only by luck that the Colony was found by the cargo ship Red Grain when it went off course due to a computer error in 2334. They reported the find to Star Fleet who sent a science team to investigate. After a number of long range scans they found the Beneath colony to be a small but well established world of mainly farming of life stock.

What happened to the Good Hope as never been explained. What it believed to have happened was the ship was pulled into an unstable wormhole. That dropped the ship above the planet where it crash landed damaging the main computer and communication gear. With no way of contacting the outside world the colonist made it there home. When they where rediscovered the Colony was found in a low warp technology stat.

Charley’s early years where spent on her families goat farm over in a valley 6 weeks travelling time to the main Colony centre. The valley was surrounded by thick woodland on 3 sides with a single track that lead to the the nearest village 2 days walk away. Life on the farm was peaceful but they where always on watch because in the woods there was large 6 legged wolf type animals that would hunt goats and people if they could. From a young age Charley could shot a phaser rifle.

Charley was schooled at home until she was 10 where she would travel to the local village school by a solar bus. She did well at School and was accepted into the academy. The first person from her world to do so. At the Academy she did well but the gap in technology did hinder her at first but she over came this to become a well rounded cadet.

Charley had a heightened stat of awareness that many believed was down to her childhood watching out for wolves and her skill with a rifle made it clear she would be suited for the demands of security.

Appearance:
Charley stands out from most humans because she has bright green hair. It is not fully understood why but it appears to have something to the with the planet she comes from. Only 1 in every 10,000 is born with the Green Hair and they are considered to be lucky by the people of the Colony. That is why Charley is called Clover by her friends. She as deep blue eyes and is slim build.

Personal life:
Charley makes friends fairly easy and is easy to get along with. However her parents never wanted her to leave for the Academy. She as not talked with them since she left.
Before Charley left she was dating a young man from a farm near her families farm however when Charley decided to join the Academy they broke up.

Medical-mental stat:
For the most part Charley is in good health. However she does carry a number of scares to her left side from a wolf attack when she was young but due to the limited medical supplies these where left to heal on there own. He mental stat is stable but an accident during Zero G - Zero Air training left her a bit shock up when her helmet screen was cracked and she had to be beamed to safety. She suffered no ill effect but is does give her nightmares from time to time.
