Kavox Monsant

Character Biography

Kavox Monsant is the nephew of former Starfleet Commodore, and later Bajoran General, Kavox Cox, and the son of the controversial “Emissary” of “New Bajor” (Edasich II), Kavox Dojanger. (There are two worlds named New Bajor; one is in the Gamma Quadrant, the other - Edasich - is located near Tzenkethi space). Because of the controversial place his family holds on Bajor - related to both a major military figure, and a religious heretic - he generally tries to avoid calling attention to either aspect of his past.

He was raised on the Edasich colony, receiving a religious education on the surface, and a technological one on the orbital Peldor station, where he was a constant source of mischief in is early teens. When he applied for Starfleet Academy, he was admitted without issue - however, the Bajoran Service Academy (to which he did not even apply) rejected him, in an apparent attempt by someone to sabotage his Academy application.

Graduated Starfleet Academy, with honors in astrophysics and exobiology, and a commendation in tactical systems.

Medical History:
- Broken leg at age 9
- Emergency surgery at age 14 after exposure to space vacuum
- Allergy to Sulfa based antibiotics
