____________________________________________ PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:Harry has brown hair, she almost always wears tied up, usually in a braid. Her eyes are a deep emerald green, similar to that of her brother Davids, but slightly darker. She has a scar across her left cheek and another on her right arm from fights and accidents when she was younger.
____________________________________________ MEDICAL HISTORY:Harry was born Briar Harrington of Admirals Daniel and Elizabeth Harrington, the youngest of two. She has a strained relationship with her family, from growing up in the shadow of her older brother David. While her and her brother David were close as children, they drifted apart once David joined Starfleet.
Growing up David was always the good one, and Briar the black sheep, despite their differences though they were thick as theaves. David took well to being Briar’s big brother and he always looked out for Briar who adored her brave big brother. She was frequently picked on at school because her name meant ‘thorn’ which she would react to strongly frequently turning it into a fight. No matter what trouble Briar caused, or the number of fights she got into he was always there to defend her.
As Briar entered her teens she started to notice how much more favoured her brother was. Despite her attempts to ignore it she envied and resented her darling older brother for it and while she managed to keep a lid on her emotions, when David entered the Acadamy at 16 and people started calling him ‘Golden Boy’ she couldn’t contain it any longer. She started to insist on being called Harry rather than Briar, and after an incident when Davids return from the Acadamy overshadowed Harry’s 15th birthday, she pushed her brother away completely without telling him why. Confused and oblivious, David tried to reconnect with Briar throughout the years, but she constantly turned it into a fight until he gave up.
Unlike her brother David who joined at 16, Briar had to wait until she was 18 before she was accepted into the Acadamy. Throughout her time there she was constantly compared to David. Her lecturers and other officers at the Academy expected her to be the mirror image of her older brother, forgetting that they were not the same person. In typical Harry fashion she resisted, fighting and failing tests in an effort to prove she wasn’t her brother. One particular fight she got inton in her second year was a bar fight with some Klingon’s where her arm and cheek were slashed. She was arrested along with the Klingon’s for creating a public disturbance, and detained overnight. David had to request leave to collect her (as their parents wouldn’t), and she refused medical attention, kicking him out of her flat when he tried. Her parents warned her that if she completed another stunt like that she would be disowned. Harry was forced to attend a few counselling sessions in an effort to route out her rebellious behaviour but Harry refused to talk. However, Harry completed her Starfleet training without another hitch.
Harry was assigned to the USS Viking. Her first and last posting. She quickly climbed through the ranks of the ship. Taking on the role of CSO within a year of being aboard after the disapperance of the original Chief Science officer. Not long after, strange events started occuring around the ship, people started disappearing or dying and the crew grew frightened and started leaving. When the XO and CO both disappeared, Harry and her friend Ensign Reira Akaba assumed control of the ship, the two inexperienced science officer doing their best to keep the ship functioning with a disappearing crew.
By the time Starfleet managed to send a crew to relieve them, the Viking had earned a reputation for being haunted, and there was nothing left but a skeleton crew and Harry and Reira. Due to their hard efforts to keep the ship going, Harry and Reira were both given commendations and Harry was promoted to First Officer under Captain Kara Nakuta. Due to the disreputable reputation of the ship, Harry’s parents didn’t want anyone with their name to have anything to do with it and pressured her to leave. Harry refused and her parents cut her off. At the same time, having heard the hardships Harry had endured and proud of her new promotion, Harrys brother attempted to reach out to her. Initially Harry spurrned her brothers attempts to reconnect believing him to try to ruin her promotion the way her parents had. But, when seeing Harry was determind to stay, David stopped pressuring her to follow their advice their relation slowly began to improve.
It was as their rocky relationship had just managed to somewhat repair itself that the Viking struck and anomaly and while leading an investigation into several mysterious going-ons of the ship, Harry vanished before the eyes of her team. She has been Missing ever since.
After the first year of her disappearence, the Admirals Harrington ordered the case be closed and Harry was decleared (presumed) dead.

Cadet Harrington is nothing like that, she is full of attitude and is one of the most rebellious cadets I have ever met. She has deep familial issues that stem from growing up in the shadow of her brother and her parents expectations. Yet under it all I sense a very intelligent and determind young woman underneath. Only time will tell if she will grow into the large shoes that the Harringtons leave behind them, or if she will quit Starfleet and make her own way. In the early hours of this morning, myself along with several other members of the Acadamy staff were informed that one of our Cadets had been arrested following a barfight and was refusing to co-operate with police and provide a contact to collect her saying she was an Acadamy pupil and nothing more. Her parents, although closer, refused to collect her and we had to wait for her brother to arrive back at Earth from his ship. With no serious appointments today, I spent the day with her. Despite a serious gash in her arm, she refused medical treatment and refused to talk to me. Whatever happened will be investigated more deeply. Her lecturers and I have decided to give her the week off for her. In that time I will attempt to reach out to her and see if we can get to the underlying issues. Personality:
Harry has no self-preservation, probably stemming from her desire to outshine her brother by doing outrageous things. She is easy to anger and doesn’t hesitate to pick a fight. Many of her acadamy classmates remember her as being ‘scrappy’. Although she doesn’t believe it, Harry is just as intelligent as her brother and quite resourceful. She is also incredibly protective of the people she cares about, which includes her brother although she would never admit it.
