Description: Covered head to toe in golden red fur, that looks soft and touchable, except the frame of his face which is a creamy grey color, trending towards just cream around the eyes and mouth. Deep dark chocolate colored eyes that look sweet and innocent. The fur forms a Fu Manchu style mustache on either edge of his upper lip. Pongo has broad shoulders, that lead to arms that seem just a bit disproportionately long for his frame. The Doctor has a bit of a pot belly that it seems natural instead of obese. His legs are a bit foreshortened causing him to walk with a bit of a waddle.
Notes: Ashlar was discovered during the Dominion War, and the inhabitants had been fighting a Guerilla War against the Dominion Occupation forces, when the Federation sent Special forces in to train and seek diplomatic ties with this multi planet polity. It was technical a breach of the Prime Directive to aide these indigenous people whom had not achieved Warp Travel, but the Federation needed the planet for Strategic Purposes. And if you want to get technical the Ashalarians, of which the Tuan are a sub race, had achieved a single Warp flight, albeit in a stolen Cardassian Cargo Ship. Doctor Bubbles is the first of his people to attend the Academy. He did well, making his people proud, despite some not so subtle racism, and an unfortunate close resemblance to a lesser species. In the time since, Doctor Bubbles has worked his way to Lieutenant Commander, and received various field commendations, and accolades for his work in Medicine. The Ashlar Common as it is called among the Ashalarians is ruled by the Sayzar, a position similar to a king or emporer, yet elected, currently they have not been fully accepted into the Federation as members, but are considered a Federation Protectorate as the Species is being eased into the Technology of the Federation. Rumors have that have already built their own warp capable vessels from the scraps left behind of the Wars, including their own flying military academy called the Sayzar’s Heart.
