Truzu Famo

Character Biography

Famo is the eldest child of Truzu Sejor and Ezea (nee Luwes), and the only male of three children. While he grew up with Bajoran culture, Famo was not raised on or around Bajor, instead being raised on a Federation colony after his family was rescued from a wrecked Antares-class ship being used as a personnel transport. This destruction later lead to the eventual death of his youngest sister, and the crippling of the middle child in the family.

Due to this, Famo had never seen Bajor until his later teens, and even then, he had no desire to go there, or to deeply immerse himself in Bajoran culture. This lead to an ever-growing rift between himself and his parents. He later appealed to a visiting Starfleet Command officer for a letter of recommendation to join Starfleet, to which the officer later complied (after almost 6 months of ignoring Famo).

Letter in hand, Famo left the colony days after his 18th birthday to travel to Earth to join the academy. He’d end up missing much of his second year (and having to repeat it) due to radiation sickness resulting from exposure as a young child. In the academy, he also got a tattoo on his left arm reading “Be true to yourself, no one else matters as much to you” which is his personal motto.

An accident during his academy years resulted in one of his ridges missing part of it on the right hand side.
