Distinguishing features:

Personality: Simon is quiet, and relies heavily on his telepathic abilities and senses to listen to others and communicate. An avid music lover, insists on having a piano in every office that he has. Tends to be nosy and will act on instinct without much thought. Also known as a bit of a clutz, mostly because he focuses on the surrounding thoughts and emotions around him that he will forget simple things, such as picking up his own two feet when he walks.

Pre-Academy: Simon loved music as a child and always planned to pursue that career path. During his adolescence, when his telepathic skills began to emerge, he was proven to be quite gifted and therefore was urged to use these abilities to help others. His life took a different path, one of listening and counseling, but he maintained his passion for music. Just prior to his trip to Earth to attend the Academy, the Dominion occupation of Betazed began and Simon chose to remain with his family, with his people. Once Betazed had been liberated, Simon left to begin his time at Starfleet Academy.

Academy History: Was an average student, but found that his telepathic abilities caused him to be somewhat of a burden, getting him in trouble more often than not. He quickly gained the nickname “Simon Says” based on an old earth game where the chosen ‘Simon’ would give commands and the others would have to follow, as long as the chosen one said ‘Simon Says’. His fellow cadets would say that Simon will say what you’re thinking even before you will.

Post Academy History: After graduation, Simon was sent to serve on board Outpost 49 as a junior counselor. During his stay at the outpost he quickly impressed his CO and was promoted all the way up to full Lieutenant, eventually taking over the spot as primary counselor. He was then transferred to the USS Hippodrome and served there for a few years before taking a transfer to the USS Chimera

Medical history: Had his share of cold and flu as a child. At the age of 11 fell out of a tree and fractured his right ankle which sometimes still flares up and causes him minor pain. During the Dominion occupation he sustained a few injuries, including a scar to his left rear thigh which he refused to have removed, as a reminder of what his people went through.
