PERSONAL HISTORY

Nathaniel Harrison was born in early 2360 at the Bolian Medical Research Institute on Boliarus IX. His parents were Lucas James Harrison, a xenobiologist, and Lynne Wendy Harrison (nee Porter) (deceased), a bio-engineer attached to the BMRI through the Federation Medical Council. Excelling in his studies at the Federation school on Boliarus, Harrison applied to, and was accepted into, medical school at the age of 18.

Graduating from his first year residency at age 24, Harrison was accepted into Starfleet Academy, over the objections of his civilian parents lodged with Starfleet Medical and the Federation Council. During his third year at the Academy, Harrison fell in love with his ethics professor, Commander (now Captain) Morrison Wells. Upon graduation in 2387, Harrison pursued a romantic relationship with his former teacher. They were married in 2389 in the Grand Mall of New Berlin on Earths moon.

Specializing in xenobiology and interspecies epidemiology, Harrison became discontent with his posting at Starfleet Medical. Craving experience and research opportunities with a wider variety of species, in 2392 he requested a transfer to Starbase 91 in Bolian space. A hub of commerce in the region, it would grant him significantly more experience outside of the sanitized and dry environment he chafed against at Starfleet Medical. Separation from his husband for such an extended period of time (Captain Wells refused to move away from Earth) proved more than they could handle and Harrison, now a Lieutenant Commander and Chief Medical Officer of Starbase 91 filed for divorce in late 2394.

In early 2395, in order to log necessary space time for a promotion to Commander that could lead to being given command of his own research outpost, Harrison accepted a position aboard the USS Saracen as Chief Medical Officer.
