Physical Description and Distinguishing Features: Muscular build, multiple tattoos on his arms, back, chest, sides and right calf. Keeps a trimmed, scruffy beard at most times

Personality: Easy-going, fun natured. Tyler has matured from a tough talking teenager into a caring, thoughtful adult. When push comes to shove, he can fight with the best of them, but for the most part he wants to get along with everyone and have fun. Tends to be the center of attention, and enjoys social interactions.

Pre Academy History: Tyler began martial arts training at a young age. After being bullied as a child, he vowed to become tough and strong. He began working out as a teenager and bulked up to a healthy level. Always had high grades in school but ignored his studies to focus on physical training, in hopes of becoming a marine

Academy History: Enlisted in the Academy as a marine cadet, and excelled in the basic courses in Science in particular. However, when it came time for him to choose his major field of study, he applied to continue with marine training. He was rejected by the head of marine training at the time, a Colin Frisch. Colin knew that Tyler was a brilliant young man and could excel in the field of science. When it came down to it, Tyler was good at acting tough on the outside, but didn’t have the true grit and passion needed to be a marine.

Post Academy History: After the academy Tyler was assigned to the USS Blueberry, a science vessel. He spent one year with them before being offered a position on board the Science station at Phynos 4, an underwater station. Tyler, having an interest in oceanography, took the position and stayed on the station for three years. Was then transfered to the USS Hardy for a year before being offered a promotion and transfer to the USS Atlantis. During his years on the Atlantis, Tyler was reunited with Colin - only to have the man taken away from him again during a mysterious encounter in which it appeared Colin was murdered. A while later, Tyler met fellow crew member Ahira, and they began a relationsip, which also ended and Ahira left the ship. During that time, Tyler was assaulted by a rogue Section 31 agent and injected with an experimental virus that resides in his brain, attacking his long term memory. The virus has no known cure, and slowly Tyler is beginning to lose his childhood memories. He was offered the chance to become CSO and took it, on the condition that if his memory loss impaired his abilities to do his duties then he would step down. Tyler took a transfer from the Atlantis, to spend time with his sister who was the helm officer on board the medical ship USS Boyce. He hoped that the doctors there might have some idea how to cure or at least combat his memory loss.

Medical History: Broke his Tibia at the age of 8 after a fight with some local boys in which he was pushed down a set of stairs. Broke his radius and ulna in a rock climbing accident at age 17. Is allergic to several types of nuts, and shellfish, which a medication has been developed for if he chooses to eat such things.

Family History: Peter Wells worked as a transport pilot, for many years operating the runs between Earth and Mars colony. Helene Wells taught horticulture at Starfleet Academy. She raised her two children in San Francisco, mainly on her own, as Peter was gone many days out of the month. Abigail followed in the footsteps of their father, becoming a pilot and attending Starfleet Academy in hopes of becoming a starship pilot.
