Character Biography

Oliver (or Olly as his friends and family called him) was born in 2369 to parents Matthew and Danielle. He grew up on Earth on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. His father was a physician in Starfleet and was often gone during Oliver’s childhood. His mother ran a flower shop close to the family home. During the Dominion War, when Oliver was 4 years old, his father was stationed aboard a hospital ship caring for many refugees and wounded in the war. During this time, his father brought home several orphans that were adopted by the family. As such, Oliver grew up with 4 non-human brothers and sisters. These experiences gave him an interesting outlook on life and ultimately led to his joining Starfleet and pursuing a career as a physician.

Growing up on Hawaii, many of his friends spent a lot of time in the water, surfing or exploring the coral reefs. Oliver certainly felt comfortable in the water but his preferred to spend his time exploring the mountains and forests of the islands. He had a knack for photography, especially wildlife and landscapes.

Physical Appearance:

Despite begin born on Hawaii, his family is of Northern European descent. He has straight blonde hair, which is kept just short enough to stay out of his eyes, and bright blue eyes. His complexion is fairly pale, though this changes quickly whenever he has the chance to head home for shore leave and gets some sun. His frame is slender and fit, though not overly muscular. He has a small tattoo on his left shoulder showing the Hawaiian symbol of diversity. There is also a 3” scar on his lower back from an accident as a child.

Personality/psych:

Olly is friendly and can function very well in a group, though he does relish his alone time and the chance to go off exploring on his own. He is well adjusted and was lucky enough to go make it through his youth without any significantly traumatic experiences.
