Ship Profiles added -- All COs please read

Posted Jan. 6, 2019, 5:25 p.m. by Admiral Joe P (Librarian / TECH Chairman) (Joe P)

Hello Everyone,

With version 1.4 of Exodus, we have reimplemented the Ship Profiles. Under the previous site, these were maintained by the Personnel Department, which largely involved PDept people nagging COs for information about vacancies and descriptions of their ships. In the current site, this information is now maintained by administrators of ships.

If you go to your ship admin page, under the “Ship Profile” section (which is collapsed by default), you will be able to:

  • Set whether or not your ship accepts new members
  • Describe your vacancies
  • Provide a description for your ship.

Fleet Commanders now have an additional configuration option to set the speed of each ship under their command in the Fleet admin page. This will affect:

  • The speed listed on each ship’s profile
  • What the default AWOL limit will be when a member is placed on that ship by the PDept after applying to join the club (4 for fast, 7 for medium, 10 for slow)

I have set the ship speeds to be what I could figure out they were, but I may have been wrong about that. Fleet Commanders, please take a moment to check that speeds are correct for the ships in your fleet. Commanding Officers, please take a moment to write a small description of your ship, the vacancies you currently have, and whether or not you accept new members.

The Ship Profiles are visible here: https://www.star-fleet.com/core/ships/

A link to that page has been added to the Resources menu.

Thanks,
Joe P
TECH Chairman.
