The Infinite Fleet Report - April 2019

USS Chimera

Commanding Officer: Philip Graham

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: The USS. Chimera has had a slower month with 59 Post’s. Never the less the sim has moved forward well. The ship is current running on emergency power, The Orions have been pushed back on the planet surface. With this the Orion Ship is also gone. The Chief of Security has just captured the person responsible for damaging the ship. We have been down for the month of March our CMO. David Robinson Jr. just came aboard to fill that role. We currently need to get some JO’s to attempt and fill the roster a little more.

There were very few AWOL’s in the month of March for the Chimera, Overall the ship is progressing in a positive manner.

Spotlight:

Vacancies: Science JO’s
Medical JO’s
Engineering JO’s
Swings

Executive Officer: Sam Pennington

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 4
Overall Ship Health: 5

Ship Status: The sim continues to move forward. There were downswings and upswings in crew activity.

Spotlight:

Vacancies: JOs in all depts.

Gamemaster: Luke Hung

Crew Posting Level: 4
Senior Staff Posting Level: 4
Overall Ship Health: 4

Sim Overview: Well, a picture perfect case of fits and stops. The ship seems to be low on crewmembers so its response is directly related to the 4 or so crewmembers that are active. When they post the mission moves, when the don’t the mission stops. As I have said for many months, we are almost finished.

Spotlight:

AFComm’s Comments: The posting this month has come in spurts with the GM still pushing the closing stages of the sim. The roster is a little thin with only 1 JO in the main departments but the palyers that are there are clearly committed to making it work with no AWOL players at the time of writing.

USS Constellation

Commanding Officer: Louis Harvatt

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: Not a great month this month for the USS Constellation sadly, this ship only managed to submit 64 posts making it the worst month for posts so far this year. During the month of March we one addition to this crew this person been Emily Stephenson the ships new Gamesmaster. Em has settled in amazingly and her sim has begun in a great way moving at a steady pace. It is my belief that now that there is a steadily pacing GM on the ship, who has now settled in. The post count for the ship will increase hopefully doubling or even tripling March’s count of 64 posts.

In addition to the above, there were a number of LOA’s for the Constellation these mainly been Department Head LOA’s a big contribution to the decreased rate of posting. The Constellation had a total of 13 AWOLs those AWOLs are broken down below as follow:

Command: 3 AWOLs
Department Head: 5 AWOLs
Junior Officers: 4 AWOLs
Swing: 1 AWOL

Spotlight: Emily Stephenson, GM:

This month my Spotlight has gone to Emily Stephenson my new GM. Emily has settled in fantastically and her sim has started with a bang making me chuckle on several occasions. Well Done Emily keep up the good work.

Vacancies: Please see ship profiles found here: https://www.star-fleet.com/core/ships/#8

Executive Officer: Liam Schoepp

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: So far the main sim is going swimmingly, and I can’t wait to see how our characters will mess up the dinner that they have been invited to. There are not too many side sims right now, but since most of us are still doing well with our posting I’m sure that things will pick up again.

Spotlight: Spotlight for this month goes to Trinity and Travis for their side sim making me feel nice to be tall (not that I am rubbing it in anyone’s face or anything ;))

Vacancies: None to report at the moment

Gamemaster: Emily S.

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Sim Overview: This is my first GM report for the Constellation as I have been in the position for just over 3 weeks. We are right at the beginning of the sim but the crew are already getting well involved with the characters and early plot. We haven’t really progressed a lot of the storyline as it is still very early days and I’m sure once we’re in full flow everyone will get stuck in and I’m looking forward to seeing how they deal with what I throw at them!

Spotlight: It’s hard to pick out people as I don’t really know the crew that well and I haven’t given them a lot to do yet but I am really looking forward to seeing why they do with the sim.

FComm’s Comments: I think the Connie’s challenges this month in regards to LOA’s and AWOL’s was due to the lack of a GM. That has been rectified with the addition of Emily Stephenson. She has begun a very promising sim. I am looking forward to watching the unfolding of her sim and think this will give the crew more impetus to post once it is in full swing.

Starbase Magellan

Commanding Officer: Amber DeSadier

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: A slightly slower month due to Geoff having trouble getting internet access. However, he thinks he found a way around the problem and is getting back to it. We did lose Linds due to health concerns so we need a new Chief of Operations. Amanda Mercer is starting to shake things up by playing a one time only pop up character who will cause a fight in a bar as a great side sim. Tim Olivieri is our newest Ensign straight from the Academy. He just started his check ins.

Spotlight:

Vacancies: Chief of Operations. JOs, Swings, Civilians

Executive Officer: Steve Johnson

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: Overall the simm is moving along, and it is coming up to the end. Posting has been slow, and it will be nice when it finally comes to the end. However, posting has been consistent, and hopefully Amber and I will be able to get some free time to help keep pushing the simm along.

Spotlight:

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Geoff Joosten

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 8

Sim Overview: The sim is well into the final act, however has stalled due to multiple AWOLs and LOAs. Losing Linds was a set back to the sim as well but so be it. Follow that line of logic, it will be wrapped up later than I expected. (I don’t think I have run a three month sim in my life!)

As far as the story, the marines are preparing to board the enemy cargo freighter and bring about swift justice to our would be pirates.

Spotlight: N/A

AFComm’s Comments: The Magellan has been plagued by the real life monster this month, with LOAs, a few AWOLs and Linds’ departure. That said everyone has worked hard when they can to keep the sim moving along.

USS Viking

Commanding Officer: Amanda Mercer

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: With our current sim coming to an end and the search for a new GM underway. We have several side sims going to keep our crew busy until a new GM could be found .

Spotlight: This months spotlight goes to the entire crew of the Viking’s crew for keeping the ship going even without a GM.

Vacancies:

Executive Officer: Jim Watkin

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: There has been an increase in posting this month with almost all players being involved in one or more side-sims, however the main sim has come grinding to a halt with the GM being on LOA for an unknown amount of time.

Spotlight:

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Vacant

FComm’s Comments: The Viking has been my most concern this month as Josh Ezell has gone seriously AWOL and Amanda is currently underway in the search for a new GM. Despite this though the crew has remained very active in side sims so I have no concerns with the crew being able to hold the ship stable while we search.

My final comments for the Infinite Fleet is that it is a much better state then it was when I took over the Fleet and I give full kudos to the Command crew’s for this. We have all worked hard together to put this tattered Fleet back together. Good job all! I would like to welcome all the new command staff such as Louis, Phil, and Ems for being willing to come aboard and assist! Everyone’s hard work has been noticed! Thank you for the chance to have served as FComm and I look forward to watching the Fleet continue to strengthen under who ever guides her next.

Thank you also goes to my aFComm Jim Watkins, it certainly helped having a strong STFer who know the Fleet when I first started to learn about the ships and crews. So thank you, Jim!
