The Pioneer Fleet Report - April 2019

USS Athena

Commanding Officer: Lindsay Bayes

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: Despite my own long and fluctuating LOA due to illness, the Athena moved along at a quick pace, posting over our usual average. The main sim is still in its early stages but the tension is high as Ian continues to tease the crew with glimpses of their character’s Mirror Universe selves. I personally am still catching up with the vast amounts of reading and in finding my posting rhythm again, so hopefully I’ll have more to comment on specifically about side sims next month. What I can say is that there is lots going on and most of the crew is engaged in at least one side thread.

Spotlight: Ian for his incredible sim set-up and to my awesome XO for helping Ian to keep the sim moving in my absence.

Vacancies: None currently; roster is full.

Executive Officer: Miriam W

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: The ship is doing pretty well, with lots of activity. We’ve had some slower days, but all in all there are so many posts that some days I struggle to read everything that got posted that day. There are a LOT of side sims going on, which is great to see alongside healthy involvement in the main sim.

Spotlight: No one person in particular, although our GM is doing a wonderful job. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next moment in his scheme!

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Ian Kerby

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Sim Overview: Things continue to develop on Mirror Risa as Mirror Orvos disappears mysteriously along with a mother daughter assassination team just as the Taurus Pact arrives for the peace talks.

On Mirror Rura Penthe we discover more about the genetic experiments and the people involved.

The Athena arrives at the anomaly… it’s a wormhole… a wormhole similar in structure and appearance to the one that provides the gateway to the Temple of the Prophets…

Spotlight:

FComm’s Comments: And the prize this month goes to the USS Athena with a whopping 333 posts for March. Out of the park guys. Great job and well done. Keep it up. :)

USS Atlantis

Commanding Officer: Kate O’Neill

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: The Atlantis is doing well and full of its fun creativity. A simple game of combat golf, a Klingon wedding with the CMO as a bartender and the CO as maid of honor, a parental visit by the CMO’s parents and main sim that has the Atlantis in a new playground has interesting stories abound. Counseling and Diplomatic services will be on call and needing a lot of drinks to handle what is coming at them. Great work guys. Keep it up.

Spotlight: Nathan Derricut is my spotlight for the month. He has written an amazing single person story discussing the development of his character River Styxx. It’s an interesting story and shows how his marine became who they are due to events in their life.

Vacancies: We are looking for anyone that wants to join. We take everyone. Specifically, we are in need of an XO so if you think you can wrangle this group into some semblance of a crew apply now. Run don’t walk to your newest digital device and fill in the blanks I have provided below.

I (_) would love to accept the crazy of the Atlantis as the XO.
(name)

Okay, kiddos just joking....kinda. The official job posting is on command but please if you have a desire to do it please apply. I will consider anyone.

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The posting rate is below average this month with 77 posts for the month of March. Several real-life issues have impacted the crew but I am sure it is only a slump that comes from time to time. Keep up the good work guys.

USS Dresden

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The Dresden’s posting rate was a bit slower than expected for this paced ship with 57 posts in March but the quality of the stories make up for the quantity. The crew is active and having fun which is the most important part of any ship. Keep up the good work guys.

USS Ogawa

Commanding Officer: Cale Reilly

Crew Posting Level: 4
Senior Staff Posting Level: 3
Overall Ship Health: 5

Ship Status: The ship has stalled due to LOAs and some real life issues for the crew. We are working on getting things picked back up and getting everyone back into the main sim and side sims.

Spotlight: Everyone who continued working despite the LOAs

Vacancies: None at present but will take JOs or swings in the near future.

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Lindsay Bayes

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 4

Sim Overview: The sim quite honestly stalled very badly due to my prolonged illness in March. So not much to say at this time as very little progress was made. More to say next month, hopefully.

Spotlight:

FComm’s Comments: The Owaga had a posting rate of 74 entries for the month of March. It is a bit below average for them but personal issues have occupied several of the crew during this time. I know April will be an upswing in the numbers with as many interesting and amazing stories abound on the ship it would be impossible to not to want to post to them. Keep up the great work guys.

Outpost 42

Commanding Officer: Adam W.

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: Posting level increased slightly from February. Hjortur joined to fill the SOO position and is off to a lovely start. Emily S. stepped into the vacant counselor position and made her first post in early April. That still leaves COO open. I could also use some JO’s in any department, so if a ten day posting limit is just your speed and you want to write with some great writers, let me know.

Liam’s main sim has been odd and engaging. I can’t wait to see where it goes. A good share of the crew is limited to the main sim. I tried to see if I could engage some member of the crew in a side sim and didn’t have luck.

Spotlight: Liam has introduced a few crazy characters into his main sim that I love. I’m not sure if they’re time travelers or from another version of reality or what. I’m loving the mystery. Liam’s been great in the role despite being very new to being a GM.

Vacancies: COO, any JO

Executive Officer: Kate O’Neill

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: The ship is doing very well. People are posting and creating amazing stories. The main sim has everyone reading and cross-posting in an attempt to figure out what the heck is going on (but in a great way.) Several new story arches are presenting themselves showing the great range of creativity our ship has in its writers.

Spotlight: A full on lighthouse spotlight is shining directly on the Outposts newest GM Liam or Crazy Cog if you see him on discord. Liam is doing an amazing job of GMing the Outpost. He has multiple storylines that have places for all to post even the civilians. His story is catch and a heck of a fun read with something different going on in each thread that makes you want to read the entire ship. Knight in armor on the promenade. Victorian woman in Operations. Jessica realizing she should have taken that art appreciation class at the Academy. Nice work Liam !

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The Outpost is within it’s posting requirements this month for the speed of the ship having 65 posts in the month of March. Keep up the great work guys.
