TECH’s bylaw requires that we make reports any time that public-facing changes to the site software are made, in order to document exactly what was changed. Here’s everything that has changed since the last report that was issued on February 10, 2019:

Version 1.5.0 - February 10, 2019

EGO Elections and some other polling features for Awards

  • Instant Runoff Voting polls are now available
  • Added a list of all open standard polls with links (for Awards)
  • Added a secret list summarizing the results of all standard polls
  • Slightly adjusted membership count query to account for MySQL quirkiness
  • Updated to Django 1.11.18

Version 1.5.1 - February 11, 2019

Security related hotfix

  • Updated to Django 1.11.20
  • Suppressed debug output from certain authorization checks

Version 1.6.0 - May 6, 2019

The Awards Related Release

  • Added Awards Nomination Form
  • Added a datepicker to the LOA field in the Profile
  • Added club FAQ page (thanks Linds for the content)
  • Updated front page blurb with new text and link to FAQ

Version 1.6.1 - May 10, 2019

The Awards Bugfix Release

  • Fixed Status 500 Error when submitting Nominations
  • Corrected “Other Characterization” Nomination form fields.

Looking ahead, there are a number of candidates for what the primary focus for the next feature release will be that are competing for top priority. This was originally planned to be the Amanda Noon Archive and other GM Department applications. That is still considered at this moment to be the highest priority feature set, however we may shift attention away from that in order to complete the Library data migration, as there has been renewed interest in that from our new political leadership, as they’re planning some sort of effort to update various documents across the club. Work will begin on the WeBBSpace archive after both of those tasks are complete.

Joe

Thanks Joe and Tech for your work here, it is much appreciated.

-Dave
