The Foremost Fleet Report - August 2019

USS Ark Angel

Commanding Officer: Robert Archer

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: Ship is doing well overall we need a few JO’s in spots but nothing thats concerning me. Sim just started with the Ark Angel arriving at UEP-614 where they’ve located ancient ruins and a sole Vulcan Science Directorate down on the planet examining them much to their surprise!

Vacancies: 1x JO all depts

Executive Officer: Trinity Fister

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: We have a few new faces this month aboard the Ark Angel, as Roger Babin and Philip Schreiber have joined us with Ens. Ranlei and Lt. JG Stuart respectively! I’m happy to say Ark Angel has no AWOLs right now, thanks to her amazing crew.

Spotlight: The entire crew.

Ray Branch - Ray’s character has gone out of his way to take his new JO under his wing, encouraging him to take initiative on the bridge. It’s always a treat to watch DHs mentor their JOs!

Michael McDowell - Mike has been LOA most of the month due to real life issues, but that didn’t stop him from hopping right back in as soon as he got back!

David Robinson, JR. - Aboard Ark Angel, along with David’s CMO, are two rather unique Betazoids. David does a spectacular job portraying all three and has shown a real talent for writing in his self-sim and other side sims!

Emily S. - Despite a lack of sims involving science, Emily is quick to insert herself wherever she can. She is never a concern for going AWOL; she’s a consistent poster, brilliant writer and an overall pleasure to have aboard!

Philip Shreiber - You would never know Philip was new to Ark Angel! Almost as soon as he was rostered, Philip immersed himself into the main sim. It was as if he’d been there all along!

Roger Babin - If you have written with Roger, you know never to expect ordinary out of him. He spins fantastic tales with even more remarkable characters–it’s never a dull moment with Babin aboard!

Last, but not least:

Robert Archer/Cockroach - He has done an amazing job balancing his roles as GM and CO of the Ark Angel! Life has a tendency of getting in the way, despite this, Robert always makes sure his crew is active and involved.

Small but mighty, we have an incredible group of writers containing both new and experienced STFers. I’m excited to see where this new sim takes us!

Vacancies: JO positions in every department.

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Sim Overview: Ship is doing well overall we need a few JO’s in spots but nothing thats concerning me. Sim just started with the Ark Angel arriving at UEP-614 where they’ve located ancient ruins and a sole Vulcan Science Directorate down on the planet examining them much to their surprise!

FComm’s Comments: As stated in my XO report, the Ark Angel has been doing well this past month! There are new faces aboard that are already bringing a new light to the sim, and old faces that never cease to amaze. :)

USS Asimov

Commanding Officer: No report submitted [LOA]

Executive Officer: No report submitted [LOA]

Gamemaster: N/A

FComm’s Comments: Due to a significant number of LOAs throughout July, the Asimov has been slower than usual. My hope is, with the holiday season coming to an end, activity will spark back up again. Considering Asimov is a slow ship, I’m not yet concerned. That being said, she could use a CSO, CNS and some JOs to revitalize her. ;)

SS Bonaventure

Commanding Officer: LOA at the time.

Executive Officer: James Sinclair

Crew Posting Level: 4
Senior Staff Posting Level: 4
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: The shuttles are starting back to the Bonaventure in order to hold discussions with the representatives of each ‘faction’ from the Sphere.

Gamemaster: Gene Gibbs

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Sim Overview: This phase in the sim is nearing its end. Representatives from what looks to be the 3 groups of the main inhabitants of the region have descended on the ‘home sphere’ that the Dal clan is living and from which emanated the distress call. Arrangements are being made for transport of representatives to the Bonaventure for a conference related to the serious survival issues and of preying on one another for crucial resources. The Bonaventure itself has had contact with the Bane once more who has revealed that there are ancient gates within the Dyson Sphere close in now to the black hole. This is the destination of the Arryha, the enigmatic small satellite that the Bonaventure had rescued from the near orbit of a white dwarf star and where the beings within were reputedly imprisoned.

FComm’s Comments: The Bonnie has been slower this month. There are two AWOLs in need of resolve and a few late posters, as of current, but I trust Melissa’s return and progress in the main sim will help with activity.

USS Manhattan

Commanding Officer: James Sinclair

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: The Manhattan and the rest of the Federation ships near Event Horizon station were just attacked by unknown parties. Swarms of Torpedoes appeared out of nowhere and struck all ships and the station. Damage was done, but all ships are still intact.

Vacancies: JO’s in all Departments

Executive Officer: Steven Sigle

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: Manhattan is under attack as our crew scrambles to discover the source of the probes that has began their assault. Darkness lurks in the Delta as we find out her secrets.

Gamemaster: Andrew Robinson

Crew Posting Level: 4
Senior Staff Posting Level: 4
Overall Ship Health: 7

Sim Overview: The sim slowed down a little this month, with many changes dragging folk away, including me on a brief sickness LOA. It has taken a little bit to get the crew back posting again, but we are moving back along. The Manhattan, the station and her sister ships have survived the onslaught of plasma torpedoes, though not without damage and casualties. They are now moving towards pursuit of those who have attacked them.

Spotlight: Definitely Lindsay Bayes as Faye Calloway. She has some intriguing side sims with her intelligence character that are really shaping up and showing some impressive skills.
Z

FComm’s Comments: The Manhattan, as always, continues to chug on with her unique and enthralling characters! The main sim is progressing nicely and side sims have added greater depth to some familiar faces. I’ve no concern for this ship.

USS Memorial

Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 5

Ship Status: We have moved into an Asteroid field to ambush the attackers the Strange planet-like object has phased back into wherever it comes from leaving us with originally 3 Starship class enemies of the same size and maneuverability akin to the Romulan Bird of prey of the 23rd Century however with modern firepower and 5 fighter class ships we have taken out one fighter and one of the Starships

Science has a plan to use Warp plasma as an improvised weapon But first, the crew needs to get the enemy ships to cluster back together so we can hit them all

Engineering is working to stabilize Deck 5 we have hull breaches that are not sealing quite fully

Medical is taking care of wounded

and Security is doubling as Tactical while being on the watch for any boarders

The captain is planning to after disabling the enemy ships take an away team to one of them to find out what is going on Despite not only the XO but the Security Chief and her husbands objections while The captain does this she plans to have the Memorial under the command of XO Jones head back to the wreckage of the Titan and look for any black box recordings that might also shed some light on what is going on

Tralla and Jade Jones are planning on training their NE Helm Officers in Fighter Piloting combat maneuvers so the ships helm officers are prepared for the craziest of evasive maneuvers

Spotlight: The whole crew is hanging in there and doing nicely! I could not do any of this without them

Vacancies: JOs in Security, Engineering and Medical

Executive Officer: Nathan Derricutt

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: The ship and the sim are doing well. Kirt had to take a little time off due to RL issues. So i took over for a small period, however the crew carried on well and it had no effect on the posting levels. the crew are still getting involved in side sims and the main sim. All those that where AWOL posted soon after being notified, bringing the ship back up to good health.

Vacancies: We are looking for JOs in all departments and swing positions.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: Despite a few AWOLs across the board, the Memorial’s crew has maintained consistency with the main sim and myriad of side sims. Although I would like to see all of her crew in the green, they have done a great job with overall activity!

Conclusion: Overall, the Foremost Fleet has been slower with fewer posts this last month. That being said, I’m hopeful activity will increase once everyone has returned to work, school or everyday life.
