Overall the month was quiet. We’re looking at processing a few graduations on the Endy, to be announced after we’ve had a chance to review them. I am actively looking for a CO for the Challenger now that Dave’s resigned. I do want to sincerely thank him for his service. Only a few more days for interested candidates to express their interest to me, so be sure to do that if you are interested in being an Academy CO.

Ship Status: Overall the simm has stalled out a bit. We are waiting to find out what is going to happen to the Challenger’s crew now that there are infected on board. The CMO has been bitten, so we will see how that plays out.
The crew has taken to creating some side simms though to keep everything moving while we wait to see what happens.
Gamemaster: No report submitted
FComm’s Comments: Overall, no major concerns for the Challenger. The GM was on LOA recently which explains why his report is absent. Dave has stepped down as CO so we’ll forgive him for lacking time to submit an outgoing report.
The ship should rebound with Geoff back from LOA though, so I’m not worried at all.

Ship Status: The ship is doing well, I have a full compliment of DHs, aside from a few AWOLs here and there, we’re at the end of the sim! Yay us!

Ship Status: The Endeavour slowed down a little this month with LOAs throughout the command and senior staffs, but Gene’s attention to the main sim and several engaging side sims has kept everyone else posting regularly.
Spotlight: Manuel Toonge joined the ship this month as a security cadet and he’s made some fantastic posts! Curtiss Schofield (CSO) and Jay Luistro (Sci Cadet) have engaged in an amazingly science-y thread that’s been a joy to read.

Sim Overview: Done! The sim, she be done! Let the angelic chorus sing!
What began as a drop of supplies to the science vessel Seahawk - after they had fixed their ailing dock - the Endeavor was called away within the system to a distress call. It appeared that two prospector ships had somehow collided and were now in dire straits without power in a region rife with ice/stone asteroids spat out by the collision of two gas giants. Dodging asteroids the Endeavor managed to get close enough to send a party down via shuttle. They were on a time crunch - the asteroid was breaking up, the prospector ships were critically damaged and plasma was rupturing the hull, and they were sinking back into the gravity well of the planet that birthed the asteroid. Through a series of efforts the team managed to set up pattern enhancers and free the trapped crew of the Golddigger, beaming them up moments before the asteroid cracked in two and crushed the ships. Previously the crew of the 49’er had been beamed over and medical had - and still are - making Herculean efforts to save them from their injuries.
FComm’s Comments: We’re done! Well done Endy crew, the sim is more or less over (with a few loose ends to tie off). Lots of activity and aside from a few minor blips, the ship appears to be weathering well.
