Sim Overview: The Sim is slowly moving along. The Crew have discovered a human living on a remote planet far outside Federation territory. In addition, a graveyard of various alpha quadrant species was found, all of them died due to losing their head. They were buried in the human style. On the ship, a sabateur has disabled the impulse engines and they crew has discovered an alien device that has injured some members of the crew.

What’s going to happen? Who is this human and how did he get way out here, on a planet deviod of technology? Who is the Saboteur and what do they want? We march towards the conclusion.

USS Genesis

Ship Status: We slowed down in posts this period. I think its a combination of being down on of our chiefs and the fact that there is a little stall in the sim. Not because of the GM as much as it is because there is a mystery that has not been solved. I presume this will be a one month thing.

USS Merrimack

Ship Status: The Merrimack and Avenger continue to investigate the two pyramidal structures which seem to be home to the Reality Stone. We have come across coloured coded computer systems similar to those discovered when we met the Ancients and Elders, and also a speaking Orb. A slower month as the GM has had some real life issues and senior officers slow to post with one AWOL. This does not concern me exceptionally. The Sim is still progressing forward and developing.

FComm’s Comments: A little slower month for the Merrimack, but I’m not concerned. I have seen some AWOLS but, I am not worried about it. She has a health and active crew. They do need a CMO Reach out to David if you are interested.

Oed V

Ship Status: The beginning of October started off well and towards the end things started to teeter back a bit. I’m not overly concerned, however there are a few crew I may address soon. The catch with Oed is that each player is responsible for coming up with something to post even when others aren’t available at the time. This needs to be stressed with newcomers especially. You won’t have a GM who ends up keeping you busy. It’s your own prerogative to do so. I think this is something we may have deviated from, but not overly so. I’ve always tried to keep others busy, but ultimately, each player needs to be self-motivated.

Spotlight: I’d like to spotlight Sidney this month. He has been steady and consistent, setting a stellar example of being present even when others aren’t able to interact much. Thank you for being the XO that you are Sidney! Keep up the great work! :)

Ship Status: Oed is dropping a little. Posting is down due to RL taking hits on several key players. I’m not worried yet but am concerned. I would like to see more personal posting happening. I have been doing this with my characters and its a great way to flesh them out better or rediscover them.

Spotlight: Luke Paris for his enthusiasm and Sam Pennington for great writing and smart role playing.

Vacancies: Its Oed. The colony is a vacancy waiting to be filled.

Ship Status: Very slow month for the Olympic, Mainly my fault. It has gotten really busy at work and with my schedule I am not always able to post as frequently as I want to. However, Sam is doing an outstanding job keeping the sim going, I am looking forward to it’s conclusion.

Sim Overview: The sim is wrapping up. Tal’Shiar Cmdr Suket has made her demands clear and issued a deadline. Dr Meinok, not wanting to be handed over, menaced the bridge with a biological weapon, now contained by security. The standoff between the two vessels remains.

Spotlight: Christopher Bennett and Gene Gibbs as Captain Hamilcar Jasar and CE Sural respectively. They both made interesting and unexpected decisions that made the story just that little bit more interesting.

USS Wolverine

FComm’s Comments: A good, but slower month for the Wolverine. Posting has been slow, but the main sim is moving along nicely and seems to be wrapping up.

A slower month over all for the Black Fleet, but real life can do that. There are some good sims going on all the ships. A lot of ships need some Department heads and junior officers. Please reach out to the respective Commanding Officers if you are interested.
