Open items from last report

MOTD: Full overhaul of the MOTD is under discussion and will be done hopefully within the next couple of months. The MOTD however has been updated as it currently stands.

Implementing PDept’s work into Exodus: No new updates.

Recommendations page: No new updates.

New Member Resource Taskforce: Taskforce discussions took place and updates have proceeded from some of this. See Sarah’s Taskforce update for further details.

Placement policy review: Tentatively scheduled for late February or early March.

Low placement numbers. The current trend continues averaging at best 5 to 6 new applications a month at best at present and retention isn’t great. This is being worked on.

New ship speed criteria: Discussion started on new ship speed field on ship profiles that might assist both current and new members. Discussion paused for further discussion at present.

Abramsverse placements: Following the discussion in November the consensus was to change the approach to these requests. The application form has been updated to reflect this amongst other things.

Comments

As Dan noted in his November report there are some serious retention issues which seem to be continuing with some slightly better numbers than last month but only just. This as reported elsewhere is being looked at for further discussion and action.

Katy Darrah joins us in the personnel department this month in a trainee role as a personnel officer and has now completed her basic training in placements and is now becoming more involved in internal department discussion and planning.
