The Foremost Fleet Report - February 2020

USS Ark Angel

Commanding Officer: Robert Archer

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: We had some ups and downs this past month, in gaining then loosing some folks. Ive also had a rough month being sick and not totally present so some of the ship’s usual health suffered for much of the month. That said we still made progress in keeping the roster pretty cleaned up and getting notices sent out when needed. Sim wise the Ark Angel was ambushed and Suder and Starr were taken captive. Meanwhile on the Angel the crew are recovering and preparing to track the Orion pirates once they deal with some sabotage.

Spotlight:

Vacancies: 1-2 JOs all depts

Executive Officer: Ben Simons

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: The ship is currently dealing with a boarding operation with the CMO being kidnapped, a very personal story for a variety of characters

Spotlight: I would like to highlight Dr. Trax Sudar who has stepped up as we’ve had our JO Doctor step down due to personal reasons, he has been doing a lot of things, and I’m looking forward to seeing where his kidnapping ends up :)

Vacancies: We currently have open JO positions, we need a new Medical JO as our current priority.

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Sim Overview: We had some ups and downs this past month, in gaining then loosing some folks. Ive also had a rough month being sick and not totally present so some of the ship’s usual health suffered for much of the month. FComm’s Comments: The Ark Angel is working along despite some LOAs and AWOLs. Rob and Ben have done well in keeping the roster and MOTD up to date. This month I asked all Command teams to discuss with Joe and I some targets for the next month or the rest of the term for their ships. This is an ongoing process and we will be working with crews and command teams to address their particular needs and goals over the coming months.

USS Asimov

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: Calé Reilly

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 5

Ship Status: Things have been a bit busy and we have had one or two members drop off but we are working on getting the roster back up and running.

Spotlight:

Vacancies: Medical! And JOs all depts

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The Azzy is ticking by at the moment, the sim working away despite Jason’s LOA. As stated some players have been removed from the roster however those that remain have worked to stay involved with the notes Jason left and with some interesting side sims. This month I asked all Command teams to discuss with Joe and I some targets for the next month or the rest of the term for their ships. For the Azzy the goals are to fulfil basic ship health requirements by ensuring a DH and one JO in each dept which it is on its way to achieving. This is an ongoing process and we will be working with crews and command teams to address their particular needs and goals over the coming months.

SS Bonaventure

Commanding Officer: Melissa Aragon

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: Doing ok… working on bringing things back to life

Spotlight: No one in particular… ship as a whole

Vacancies: Could use a JO Marine and Security
Promoting within for CE so need a JO Engineer
This would give each area one JO, to man to 2, we need an additional JO in each area as well.

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Gene Gibbs

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 5

Sim Overview: We’re in high drama at a slow pace .. kinda like an episode of 24 on a 33 speed rather than a 78. In short, the sim is moving along and there is drama, though our pace is not particularly blazing. Partly that was due to me and the family death/funeral this past month so I’ll own that one. Three different areas are going - the ship, the surface of the Dyson Sphere and in the First City itself. A failure of some of the repulsor web that protected the city from being pulled into a black hole caused the anchors that held the city to be strained and with the resultant jolt it damaged the protective sphere/hull itself. An attempt at evacuating the sphere is underway. Down on the surface the away team is attempting to find a haven for the people living in the sphere cities which are failing and one by one falling into the black hole. Time, however, is running out ..

Spotlight:

FComm’s Comments: The Bonnie is working well at its new ship speed and a few new faces involved looks good. Melissa and Owen are working on filling the roster either from within the crew or out with. This month I asked all Command teams to discuss with Joe and I some targets for the next month or the rest of the term for their ships. For the Bonnie this will include ensuring that there is one DH and one JO in each dept as per the ships charter. This is an ongoing process and we will be working with crews and command teams to address their particular needs and goals over the coming months.

USS Manhattan

Commanding Officer: James Sinclair

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: This ship is in orbit around Graven, preparing an away team for their arrival to lend aid and establish relationships with the inhabitants of the planet.

Spotlight: Gene has come on board and already we have a solid start to a fascinating and intriguing Sim

Vacancies: Science is in desperate need of JO’s, and we can always use JO’s in all departments

Executive Officer: Steven Sigle

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: First contact can always go awry as the Manhattan forged on in the delta quadrant. Crew have some great side sims to booth with compelling mysteries people are weaving.

Spotlight:

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Gene Gibbs

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Sim Overview: A hopping crew!!! The Manhatten has been invited to the Graven system to assist the people there in a number of seemingly mundane things - agricultural aid, power plant upgrades, security collaboration and medical consultations not to mention discussion about an embassy. The Manhattan has arrived at the system and has undertaken a staff briefing prior to heading down to the world - one which has decided long past to not pursue space flight and settle into a relatively sedate 21st Century technological lifestyle. Their discussions with the First Minister, one Jawn Biehl, is nearly at an end and the meat and potatoes of the sim will be entered into shortly now.

Spotlight:

FComm’s Comments: The Manhattan has really picked up over the last few weeks with their new GM and I am enjoying reading the character interactions. Hats off to everyone involved. This month I asked all Command teams to discuss with Joe and I some targets for the next month or the rest of the term for their ships. This will in particular for the Manhattan involve their hunt for more JOs which James and Steven are working on. If you are a science person this ship has a lot to offer you. This is an ongoing process and we will be working with crews and command teams to address their particular needs and goals over the coming months.

USS Memorial

Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: The Ship is getting ready for a new adventure as the Captain take a call from some admiral but first she has to stop in at Starbase 243 for repairs recrew a Tribunal(Skipped over) and a short break!

Spotlight: Roger Babin His posts have been amazing as the Security officer known as Zoz-Eki-Ion. his own custom species!

Vacancies: Core:
1X Science JO
2X Medical JO
1X Engineering JO

Swing:
Artificial Intelligence Expert(Shared spot in Engineering)
Helm Officer/Shuttle Pilot
Counseling JO

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Liam Schoepp

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Sim Overview: So the GM was attacked by a wave of rabid tribbles so the sim didn’t really move all that much. Luckily he got saved by a random passerby and has helped get things going again. It turns out that the hunk of rock that the strange knight was holding is a part of that stone tablet from earlier. I wonder what will happen if they find all the pieces?

Spotlight: Spotlight for this month goes out to Gene Gibbs and Kate O’Neill. Kate for keeping her maybe kinda sorta grandchild occupied while the GM was busy fighting off rabid tribbles, and Gene for amusing the GM with their character’s wonderful accent.

FComm’s Comments: The memorial has had a few LOAs and AWOls but has worked hard to keep the posting of both side sims and main sims up where possible. This month I asked all Command teams to discuss with Joe and I some targets for the next month or the rest of the term for their ships. Kirt and I have agreed that the priority for the memorial will be in the short term to get their roster filled out to ensure at least one DH and one JO in each dept. This is an ongoing process and we will be working with crews and command teams to address their particular needs and goals over the coming months.
