Updating static pages: Was to be a September project, but I got a bit slammed in September to give guidance to the department on this. Will be done in September.
Recommendations page: I’ll also be trying to put together PDept’s proposal in October.
Retention: Very slight improvement. Will keep monitoring.
Ships accepting new members: Will still are at 8 out of 16 non-alt RPGs accepting new members (50%) (this includes the Viking). I and the respective FComms heard back from three of the COs in question, and one ship (the Viking) I know the reason why. There were no responses from the remaining four COs, which is disappointing given it was a request from the Personnel Director with FComm support. As mentioned before, this isn’t a major issue at this time (except for our loss of available slow ships) - we can work with 8 ships - but it is something to keep an eye and hopefully reverse the course before it does turn into an issue.
Comments
A bit of a slow down in the PDept this month. RL kept me from getting traction on the two outstanding projects (PDept static pages update and Recommendations Page proposal). And we crept up slightly in our average processing times (6.7 hours to 8.4 hours, not including applications where there are delays in getting replies from the new members) - nothing major, but something to keep an eye on. Just a combination of various RL issues among the PDept staff. Should be back to norm in October.
