Right - get that we’re not discussing the revamp here. Just thinking this discussion would come after then. But I agree with a having a goal in mind with that other project to have a potential promotion to Lt. (j.g.) upon passing.

I think this is a great idea, and I’m still not sure when this even stopped being a thing to be honest. Though in the past it was only a promotion to Ltjg for the department you passed the course in. I would assume this would be a similar idea here.

The automatic promotion to Lieut (j.g.) was removed In the first version of CADET: https://www.star-fleet.com/prez/edicts/dipper/#e22.
I think the actual discussion may be missing in the ether that is hit-and-miss effWeBB archives.

That’s what I found too. I can’t find the discussion either however. But yeah maybe time to put something back in.
