Hello STF,Over the past few weeks, many people have discussed the various ways to honor Steven Sigle’s time and commitment to the club. Several ideas have been discussed: however, as I have reflected on all he meant to STF I would like to propose that he be promoted posthumously to the rank of Rear Admiral due to his years of service in STF. Over the years he has served the club through the various ways:
Personnel Director
Assistant Personnel Director
Several terms as Fleet Commander of the Meridian fleet
Fleet commander Infinite fleet
Assistant Fleet Commander for various fleets
Term on EGO.
Awards Coordinator for several years
Editor for the STF newsletter
Captain of the USS Odin from 2011-2021
XO of the Manhattan for many years
For the possible STF record of one of the longest continual play of a single character which is Commander Jacen Drayke Chief Engineer of the USS Atlantis April 14, 2005 to July 15, 2021 (16 years, 3 months, and 1 day.)Thank you for your consideration of this. Although his time was cut short in the club, I am sure that he would have achieved far more if he was still with us.

Hi everyone!
I get that some of our membership have strong feelings about Steven passing away.
I will be making my promotion decisions at the end of the term. As usual, I don’t plan on discussing the promotions ahead of time in Command, and I’m not going to be soliciting feedback in a public forum about the pros and cons of any individual promotion.
That doesn’t mean I’m taking anything away from those that feel strongly about this. But I am going to close down this tread (as I would any thread discussing the pros and cons of promoting someone).
