USS Europa

Commanding Officer: Joe P

How is your ship looking overall? The ship looks good, but we did have a bit of a shakeup this month staffing wise. It’s not a stable situation until we have an answer to who the next GM is.

Matt Evans had to step down as GM, and the sim is unfinished. We’re scrapping it, and the next GM - whoever that is - will bring on a new sim. We thank Matt for his efforts as Europa’s GM, and hope he has a speedy recovery.

We’ve used the break in the action to shift Janice from playing the XO, to filling the CE spot instead with a different character, at her request. Avik is going to get a great big promotion to another ship, and Mathys Ducote will become the Europa’s Chief Engineer. I’m glad that I’ll still be writing with Janice.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Amber DeSadier has improvised a detail that her character and her character’s husband might own an estate in France: https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf6/europa/posts/175471/

What is totally hilarious about this to me, is that her character’s husband is a version of my character from an alternate universe… and my character would never own property in France, for any reason. So I actually laughed out loud reading this, thinking that I have to somehow have to set up a situation, where this utterly bizarre difference between my character and his alternate universe counterpart gets highlighted in character somehow.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. My main goal next month is to secure an new XO and a new GM. I have a candidate in mind for XO that I will reach out to, likely before this report is published. I don’t have a clue on a GM.

FComm’s Comments: I have put a post in the Game Master board to ask for a new GM for The Europa. They have been doing good with posting within limits, but the shakeup in staff did have some stalling due to the main sim getting scrapped due to the change. Everyone is still obviously passionate about the ship. Janice staying on in the CE role looks good. XO role needs to be filled.

I am glad to note that Joe did get on top of reporting this month. His report was detailed and its obvious he has a plan for the ship.

USS Genesis

Commanding Officer: Luke Hung

How is your ship looking overall? “My ship? Its the Lollypop, she’s a good ship.” Looking solid. The sims moving, a bunch of good side sims. This is a very consistent ship. Nice job everyone. Thanks to the new and returning crew.

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Genesis has made contact with two new races. The first they encountered was one which was about to achieve warp speed. The second was a military race monitoring closely the first. The Lesscoo, as they are called, had already achieved warp speed and were very much more advanced than the first race but were very aggressive.

After a conference with the Lesscoo, the Genesis CO made it clear that the Federation was not in favour of the domination style of the Lesscoo, and the Genesis moved back to be with the first race, whom the Lesscoo called “Messi”.

An away team was sent down the planet before the Genesis went to the Lesscoo system for the conference. They had made contact and had witnessed the first successful warp speed travel of the Messi. This was also witnessed by the crew on board the Genesis. However, a Lesscoo frigate had begun to move towards the Messi system almost immediately after the successful test.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

FComm’s Comments: This ship is healthy and consistent. It seems to have a good and full roster. Hjortur did not post an XO report. It looks like he is a little late getting back from his LOA. I did not receive an email with a note about him not posting, but I am inclined to give him leeway this month.

Main Sim looks healthy and involved. Lovin to see this. Great job everyone.

USS Merrimack

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Merrimack crew is still in two parts, the first mainly being Glen and Tia are talking with Dol on their command center and more details about what would be involved with Dol’s people joining the Federation. The other group of everyone else is involved with chatting up the locals down in an educational area learning more about them in depth.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

FComm’s Comments: Neither David nor Bob did reports this month. We will call this month’s unexcused and I will give them extra reminders next month. The ship looks to be pretty solid with both main and side sims. GM looks to be on top of the Main Sim.

FComm’s Comments: Drama, Drama, Drama. There are multiple in depth simultaneous threads that are happening. I love the coordination going on between players here. Neither the Governor or Lt Governor turned in Reports this month. As far as I know, both people have been posting within the reports due time. I will count them as unexcused and will do more to remind them for next month.

However, I am happy with how full and involved the roster is for this outpost, especially given that they have no GM and had several summer LOAs this month.

FComm’s Comments: The ship looks to be healthy with both a main sim and side sims progressing fine. The roster is full. However, I received no reports from the CO, XO, or GM and will be reaching out to them.
